Since 1864, the 600-acre Arlington National Cemetery has been one of the most recognized burial grounds in the U.S and is the final resting place for 400,000+ American heroes, Presidents and veterans. You can’t begin to imagine the beauty and serenity of this hallowed ground until you’ve experienced it yourself. This tour - which is a 45-60 continuous loop - allows you to hop on/hop off the tour vehicle as it takes you around the vast grounds rich in history and importance.
You'll journey through the picturesque cemetery grounds to the main monuments and memorials that tell the personal stories of individuals who have made a mark in the course of American history. With the help of the knowledgeable guide, you’ll gain insight into American history through the personalities that are buried here, including the first explorer to plant the American flag at the North Pole, Matthew Henson, and boxing Heavyweight Champion, Joe Louis.
You’ll see the gravesite of President John F. Kennedy, one of two U.S. Presidents buried in the cemetery, and visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which stands high atop a hill overlooking D.C., laid to rest in this solemn Amphitheater. Absolutely don't miss the time-honored Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which amazingly takes place every hour, on the hour, rain or shine - 365 days of the year. Breathtaking and moving for all who experience it.

Tours depart daily between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. from October to March and 8:30 a.m. to 6pm from April to September.
