Undercover Tourist launches selling Orlando Theme Park tickets.
2001 - orlando crowd calendar
One of the site's most popular features — the Orlando Crowd Calendar that shows the best dates to visit the theme parks — is born!
We launch our affiliate program.
Our Ticket Wizard helps families find the 'right' tickets!
We move from a broom cupboard in a travel agency to our current office in Florida.
Theme park News & Refurbishments are added to our planning information.
January 18: Our first press coverage from a major daily newspaper!
We start selling Walt Disney World® Resort Magic Your Way Tickets — with only hundreds of SKUs instead of 6!
December: The winter holiday frog logo makes his first appearance — ribbit!
March: Dun dun dun — we debut a new website design.
We begin offering Disneyland content!
Development begins on iPhone and Android wait time apps for the Walt Disney World® Resort and Universal Orlando Resort™.
Our wait time apps arrive to frogtastic acclaim!
May: We open an additional office in Austin, Tx., which becomes our official company headquarters, and launch on YouTube!
July 9: Our Facebook pages launches!
September 7: What is a blog? ... Oh, we launched one!
November: We introduce a new website with a revamped Crowd Calendar.
We reach 10,000 fans on Facebook!
April: Thanks to first-person videos capturing the rides, shows and restaurants inside Walt Disney World® Resort, Undercover Tourist is named a YouTube Marketing Ambassador.
October: We launch Car Rental reservations with Alamo!
May: Our VP of engineering disobeys a direct order from the CEO and brings in a ping pong—sorry, table tennis—table before the site redesign is live.
June 12: After much success on the East Coast, Undercover Tourist hops into Southern California, selling tickets to Universal Studios HollywoodTM, LEGOLAND® California Resort, SeaWorld® San Diego, the San Diego Zoo® and other attractions. It also launches its most ambitious redesign of the site, including the blog.
2015 - expanded car rental
February: We begin offering discounts on 5 major car rental brands!
May: The Matts prank our CEO on his return from a "cultural trip" in Las Vegas.
2015 - new app
May: We debut our Orlando Theme Park Day App for iPhone, which offers our Crowd Calendar, custom and pre-set touring plans, and wait times for Walt Disney World® Resort, Universal Orlando Resort™ and SeaWorld® Orlando.
October: The wall of employee glamour shots begins.
January 1: We begin offering discounts on Walt Disney World® Resort hotel rooms plus Frog Family reviews to help vacationers make the perfect pick!
June: We add "near me" functionality to our Orlando Theme Park Day App.
2016 - Orlando, San Diego and Los Angeles Hotels
December: Hoppy days (and nights)! Undercover Tourist begins offering discounts on Orlando, San Diego and Los Angeles hotel rooms.
Undercover Tourist hops into ski vacation planning with the debut of its ski resort decision matrix.
2017 - Ski Epic Pass + Hotels
August 1: Hit the slopes! Undercover Tourist begins selling the Epic Passes to the Vail Ski Resorts — Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Whistler, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood and more!
2018 - Disneyland launch
May: Celebrate hoppy times — come on! Undercover Tourist begins selling discount Disneyland tickets.
May: Our YouTube channel reaches 100,000 subscribers!
July: Hip hop hooray! Undercover Tourist partners with Disneyland Resort to offer discounts on its official hotels!
March 6: Undercover Tourist celebrates 20 years by throwing its VIP Family Fun Fest at Universal Orlando!
June 12: Undercover Tourist partners with IHG to sell hotels nationwide, starting with over 15 hotels across six major cities!
