Broadway Theatre
Situated on Broadway Street, the Broadway Theatre is one of only five Broadway playhouses physically on Broadway proper. Known by many names over the years, the theater originally operated as a premiere film house, showcasing films like the 1928 Walt Disney classic “Steamboat Willie” and Disney’s “Fantasia” in 1939. Since the 1950s the theater began its exclusive use as a live theater, showcasing ribbiting musicals, plays, operas and live entertainment performances for hoppy theater-goers. The theater has approximately 1,763 seats spread across two levels, with one of the largest orchestra pits on Broadway. With its stunning Art Deco marquee and world-class productions like “The King and I”, Hammerstein's “Cinderella” and “Fiddler on the Roof”, the Broadway Theatre continues to enchant audiences with its magical performances and unfrogettable experiences.
