United States Botanical Garden
Established by U.S. Congress in 1820, the United States Botanic Garden is the oldest continuously operating public garden in the United States. Take a relaxing stroll through both indoor and outdoor garden areas, making it the perfect addition to your travel plans! Including seasonal exhibits, highlights from the outdoor areas include a Rose Garden, native plants garden, and the historic 30-feet-tall “Fountain of Light and Water” by the creator of the Statue of Liberty.
Inside the Conservatory, explore different rooms filled with plants ranging from desert plants, medicinal plants, Hawaiian plants, Mediterranean plants, and more. Guests of all ages will enjoy this lovely area. Tadpoles will especially enjoy the Children's Garden open Spring through Fall, an interactive space where they are free to play with garden tools, plant, water, and more!
