Today I am starting a new series called Romancing the World. During this series, I'll be sharing with you all of my top tips for romantic spot, eats and activities at Walt Disney World. And I'll be kicking things off appropriately with a little brunch! Breakfast met lunch and fell in love and brought us quiche-y laidback goodness! Here's what you need to know in order to share one of my most beloved Disney World traditions!
There's nothing more romantic that a stroll through Paris with your love. OK, I lied, there are always mimosas. What happens when you put together Paris and brunch? You get one of my favorite hidden gems of Disney World! The French Pavilion is home to Les Halles Boulangerie & Pâtisserie, a delicious and devine French Bakery. Here, you can purchase a variety of delectable French baked goods served up a la carte.
For the savory lover, you'll find quiches, elegant sandwiches and salads. For the sweet lovers, you'll find macaron, brioche chocolate and pain au chocolat. We can't forget beverages — when in France! There are a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffees and teas, plus you can find beer, and wine! With such a good selection of foods and spirits and you'll be sure to find something to satisfy everyone!
Les Halles Boulangerie & Pâtisserie is open earlier than other eateries and attractions in World Showcase. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., you can stop by for a quick bite or a delightfully refreshing drink. It's the perfect place to stop by if you're entering from International Gateway. Take your food to go or dine in the ever-so-quaint covered patio area. Brunch is super romantic in this spot because of the ambiance of France, the elegance of mimosas, the delicious dishes and, of course, your company. To add to the delight of this approved romantic spot, you'll find a practically empty World Showcase there for the taking!
So, how do you make it perfect? Here's my recipe for the PERFECT brunch at Disney World. Plan on waking up early enough to be there before the rest of World Showcase opens. I say be at the main gates when Epcot opens, take in a quick pass on Soarin' before heading to World Showcase for a stroll with your sweetie. I like to get straight to the brunch, so I always go the short route, taking a right toward the Canada pavilion and through the UK pavilion, and on to one of my favorite spots to stop and enjoy the beauty of World Showcase, the bridge at the International Gateway. The only way it could get more PERFECT is if you started at the International Gateway entrance, having walked over from your fantastic room at Disney's Beach Club Resort! After a picture or two, head over to Les Halles Boulangerie & Pâtisserie and order up a little something sweet, like chocolate croissant, a little of something savory, like a quiche Lorraine, and don't forget a crisp and refreshing mimosa and a good cup of cafe! Find a quiet little table and enjoy brunch. Finish things off with a romantic walk through the sights and sounds of World Showcase!
I hope you'll try out brunch in Epcot and find a bit of romance in Disney World! Join me in a few weeks to find out more ways to romance the World. In the meantime, let me know your favorite brunch spot at Disney World.
Until next time, keep it magical!
