When you visit a theme park, there is so much to do and see — and lots of frogs in the pond, so to speak! Knowing the optimal time to visit each ride, show or character can save you hours of time waiting in line! Our pre-set park plans are best for families who like following a schedule but don’t want to do all the planning themselves — they just want to hop to it!
Families who want more flexibility than a park plan, don’t want to arrive ahead of park opening and want to decide which rides they experience, should use our general map.
A note about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: During peak periods, guests must join a “Boarding Group,” or virtual queue, to ride. Capacity is very limited and fills quickly. You cannot join a Boarding Group until you enter the park. If you wish to ride, we recommend arriving at the park at least an hour before opening and being ready to join a Boarding Group as soon as you enter Disneyland Park by using the Disneyland app or at select locations. You will be able to join one Boarding Group per day.
If you get into a Boarding Group, we recommend you do not follow a park plan. Instead, use our maps to determine when to visit your desired attractions.
We've created this one-day park plan so you can experience the most popular attractions with the lowest waits, prioritizing rides that should be visited within the first hour, and within the first two and last two hours. This plan assumes you are starting within the first hour of park opening and finishing in the evening. If you wish to do the lightsaber-building experience at Savi's Workshop and/or other experiences requiring a reservation, you are better off using our general park maps. To incorporate priority character experiences and other attractions, we recommend you plan at least two days at Disneyland Park.

We’ve created this two-day park plan so you can experience the most popular attractions with the lowest waits, prioritizing rides that should be visited within the first hour, and within the first two and last two hours. It is best to decide which plan day to follow based on the day of the week you are visiting due to Extra Magic Hour and Magic Morning early entry schedule. This two-day plan assumes you are not attending early entry and that you arrive at rope drop for official park opening. (If you do attend early entry, then you have the advantage of knocking a few Tomorrowland and Fantasyland attractions off the list early and then you can hop onto the plan at rope drop.) If you wish to do the lightsaber-building experience at Savi’s Workshop and/or other experiences requiring a reservation, you are better off using our general park maps.
Day 1 - Use on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday (not an early entry day)
Day 2 - Use on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday (not an early entry day)

This two-day plan allows you one morning in each park to access the rides you should prioritize in the first two hours of park opening and an evening in each park to enjoy nighttime entertainment. If you purchase MaxPass, you may make FASTPASS reservations for the second park while you are still in the first park to save time.

If you only have one day at Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park, you’d better hop to it. You won’t be able to do it all, but this plan hits the highlights. If you are traveling without younger kids, skip the gentler attractions. If you do have little ones, you may be adding smaller attractions for them, skipping some of the big ones or using Rider Switch so both parents can ride.
Due to park hours, wait times, FASTPASS availability and nighttime entertainment, we recommend starting in Disney California Adventure and then hopping over to Disneyland Park in the afternoon. Ideally you will arrive early before rope drop. If you are staying on property, take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which allows you to enter the park an hour early on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Use timesaving tools such as FASTPASS, Single Rider lines (if riders are seven and up) and Rider Switch. MaxPass is an optional recommended tool, that will streamline this process and help you to get more rides in during the same amount of time, but this plan assumes you will be collecting free paper FASTPASS reminder tickets. MaxPass does allow you to make reservations in the other park when park hopping, setting you up for more ride options once you enter the other park.
For those of you who don't plan to arrive at park opening or want more flexibility than a park plan, our general map is the easiest way to determine at a glance the best times to visit Disneyland® Park's attractions.
