What's ~Hoppening~ at Disney Springs? Full List of Shops, Restaurants Now Open

It's the moment we've all been waiting for — Disney Springs is officially open! The entertainment, shopping and dining district began its phased reopening May 20. We hopped right over there on the first day to check it out (safely, of course)! While Walt Disney World reopened the rest of its resort, including parks and hotels, in phases starting July 11, 2020, Disney Springs' reopening gave us a glimpse of the pixie dust at the end of the tunnel. Here is a look at the new health and safety procedures in place, plus the full list of what's open. Hop along with us so you can plan your visit!

Disney Springs Entry Procedures & Health and Safety Guidelines

Parking and Security

During the initial phased reopening, Disney Springs is offering self-parking in the Orange and Lime garages only. Once these parking garages are full, Disney Springs will be considered at capacity. If you have a dining reservation and cannot enter due to full capacity, the dining guarantee fee will be waived. Surface lots and valet parking are not available, but the Hotel Plaza Boulevard pedestrian bridge and the rideshare drop-off location are open. At each of these entry locations, guests will undergo a temperature screening. (Note that following the advice of the CDC and our local health officials, Disney World phased out on-site temperature screenings for cast members and guests.)

Health and Safety Guidelines

Disney Springs Reopening - Girl in Cinderella Outfit

Face coverings are required for guests ages 2 and older, cast members and third-party operating-participant employees, so make sure to obtain them for your frog squad before you arrive at Disney Springs. It’s expected that you should wear a face covering that protects your nose and mouth when entering Disney Springgs, in indoor areas and on Disney transportation. Masks are no longer required in outdoor common areas.

To maintain appropriate physical distancing at Disney Springs during this initial phase, there will be limits on the number of guests on property and within each location. There are ground markings to promote distancing in queues, as well as physical barriers in select places where it’s difficult to maintain distancing.

Disney Springs Reopening - Markings Outside of World of Disney

Most of the ground markings indicate where you should stand, but larger markings outside of World of Disney show you where you should not stand. Arrows on bridges point in the direction of intended flow (guests should stick to the right, just like U.S. vehicle traffic!).

There are increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures in high-traffic areas such as elevators and escalators, handrails, benches, tables, handles, restrooms and more. There are also hand-washing stations and touchless hand sanitizer locations available. Trash can lids are propped open so that you don't have to touch them.

Disney Springs Reopening - Hand-Wash Station

Cashless payment options are available, including debit cards, credit cards, Disney gift cards, etc. Guests can use contactless payment or cash to purchase a Disney gift card at the Welcome Center and select merchandise locations.

All procedures and protocols are subject to change. Disney cast members dressed in bright yellow shirts help out with explaining the new rules and are available for questions.

Disney Springs Reopening - Crowd Levels

A limited number of shopping and dining experiences that are owned by third-party operating participants are now open as part of this initial phase. On May 27, three Disney-owned stores and restaurants reopened: World of Disney, D-Luxe Burger (mobile order) and the Marketplace Co-Op.

Disney Springs is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., though individual locations may have varying operating hours. See the list of available locations below. More restaurants and retail stores may be added over time. If you don't see a specific location, we encourage you to contact the individual restaurant or store to confirm its reopening status.

Disney Springs Reopening - Welcome Back Starbucks Drink

On the first day of Disney Springs' reopening, we ate at Earl of Sandwich for lunch. Even though the line was out of the door, it took about 25 minutes until we were able to sit down at an outdoor table (indoor seating was available too). Plexiglass protected the employees behind the counter, and floor markings separated everyone in line. We were still handed a buzzer that went off when our food was ready.

If you want to hop along with us at the Disney Springs reopening, watch our video below!

We hope this guide helps you prepare for your visit to Disney Springs! Have a question about visiting? Drop us a line in comments below! We will be updating this post regularly, so check back as you get closer to your trip!
