Everything You Need to Know About Ed Sheeran's 2023 Tour
Ed Sheeran is an award-winning British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2011 with his first hit single "The A Team." Since then, many of his songs have reached the top of the charts, including "Shape of You" and "Perfect." His songs blend a mix of pop and folk-pop with relatable lyrics.
Ed Sheeran's current tour, the "+–=÷×" tour (also known as the Mathematics tour), celebrates his various albums (each uniquely titled with mathematical operations, including "Equals" or his newest album, "Subtract") at stadiums filled with fans. Simultaneously, his emotionally-driven "Subtract" tour hits the same cities in smaller, more intimate venues the night before the stadium performances, focusing solely on songs from "Subtract."
Setlist
Concert-goers can enjoy a large setlist during the 2 hours and 15-minute set, including "Shivers," "Tides," "Thinking Out Loud" and "Bad Habits." At the smaller "Subtract" performances, Sheeran performs his newest album, "Subtract," in full running order — including instant hits such as "Salt Water" and "Eyes Closed — plus a few hits from other albums.
Opening Acts
Most of Ed Sheeran's concerts feature well-known opening acts such as Khalid and Ben Kweller.
Kahlid is an award-winning American singer and songwriter known for his R&B hit songs, such as "Location" and "Young Dumb & Broke." Ben Kweller is a well-versed singer and songwriter with a wide variety of instrumental experiences. Another major opener for the Mathematics Tour is Russ, the rapper and soul artist. He is best known for the songs "Losin' Control" and "What They Want."
