Anna & Elsa Meet and Greet In Epcot to Remain 'For the Foreseeable Future'

by Mommy Frog on February 10, 2014

Hi everyone! Hope you all are staying warm out there, wherever you are. We just wanted to share updates on two high-profile happenings at Disney World. The first one involves the Anna and Elsa meet and greet in Epcot. The "Frozen" sisters have been a very popular addition to the character greetings in Epcot.

Anna and Elsa meet and greet

Anna and Elsa originally were a limited meet-and-greet in Norway, but according to the Disney Parks Blog, the pair will continue greeting guests for the foreseeable future. That's good news for all of you "Frozen" fans. Additionally, the pair are now greeting from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in Epcot. If this is a must-do, we recommend arriving ahead of park opening and making this your first stop, because the two regularly see two-hour waits.

Additionally, Anna and Elsa will be joining the new Magic Kingdom parade, Disney's Festival of Fantasy. That's right, the sisters will be joining Belle, Cinderella and Tiana in the Princess Garden. Finally, you can also catch the sisters during the castle projection show "Celebrate the Magic," shown nightly in Magic Kingdom.

Disney Festival of Fantasy Update

Along with news about Anna and Elsa joining the parade, we have a few new Disney Festival of Fantasy details to share.

First off, we had reported the parade would begin in spring, but now we know it will start in March! That's good news for those of you who will be visiting over spring break. Second, the Disney Parks Blog shared a sneak peek at some of the parade costumes, which are some of the most elaborate in Disney theme park history. The costumes are the work of costume designer Mirena Rada. Here they are:

seashell-girl

Seashell girl from "The Little Mermaid."

lost-boys

"Newsies"-inspired Lost Boys from "Peter Pan."

dark-fairy

A Raven from "Sleeping Beauty."

storybook-circus-girl

"Cha Cha Cha Girl" inspired by New Fantasyland's Storybook Circus.

What do you think of the costumes? What do you think of the news that Anna and Elsa will remain at Disney? Share in comments below! Also, be sure to come back to the blog tomorrow for a "Frozen" printable Valentine's card!

Hoppy Monday!

Keep hopping, Mommy Frog!
