Hi there! Welcome to our weekly roundup of the most interesting theme park news around the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando and other theme parks.

Here are this week’s theme park highlights:

  • Frozen Summer Fun LIVEAll summer long from June 17 through Sept. 7, Disney's Hollywood Studios will be celebrating "Frozen" Summer Fun LIVE. From park opening to closing, you will find "Frozen" fun. Here are the details:
    • The Frozen Fun Welcome cavalcade through Hollywoodland will feature Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and, yes, even Olaf.
    • For the First Time in Forever: A 'Frozen' Sing-Along Celebration moves into the Hyperion Theatre (the former location of The American Idol Experience) with new special effects.
    • Several times each day Olaf and his friends will take to the Event Stage to have a little fun "In Summer" during Olaf's Summer Cool Down.
    • Once the sun goes down, the "Coolest Summer Ever" Dance Party hosted by DJ Chill offers guests the chance to boogie down!
    • Capping off the evening will be "Frozen" Fireworks, set to the music of "Frozen." Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf will kick off the grand finale!
  • Flynn RiderWhile it will be a spectacular Frozen summer at Hollywood Studios, this week you can learn to draw Flynn Rider, thanks to artist Mike Chovanec of the Animation Academy. Don't tell Leap I said this, but that Flynn Rider is sooooo dreamy!
  • Beginning July 5, the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom becomes the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party, with plenty of delicious treats and a spectacular view of the fireworks! Reservations open March 20 for the enhanced event!
  • All over Downtown Disney, the signs of Disney Springs are springing to life!
  • Disney's Grand Floridian eggsIt's almost time for the unveiling of the gigantic chocolate Easter eggs at Disney's Grand Floridian on March 20. Here is a sneak peek of the hand painted, hand carved eggs.
  • Comedian Bill Engvall and country singer Alan Jackson will take the stage at SeaWorld Orlando's final Bands Brew & BBQ of the season on March 28 and 29 respectively.
  • A date has been revealed for the debut of Clyde Sea Lion High! Clyde and Seamore are bringing their hijynx back to the stage at SeaWorld on April 16.
  • The next Sharknado got a release date and a title! "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!," which was filmed at the Universal Orlando Resort and will heavily feature the resort in the plot, makes landfall July 22.
  • Fast & Furious-Supercharged will officially open on the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 25.
  • As we've mentioned previously, Universal Studios Hollywood's Studio Tour is celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer. Mice Chat went behind the scenes with the park's creative director to find out what's in store for the beloved Studio Tour.
  • Blue Angels FlyoverLast but not least, we leave with you a spectacular sight over Cinderella Castle as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flew over Magic Kingdom on the way to the Melbourne Air and Space Show.

That’s it for the theme park news this week. Have a great weekend!

Hi Jennefer,

You should be able to do everything (or most everything) for your daughter's age group in one day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Meeting the characters can take up quite a bit of time, but I think you can do it all.
