Disney's new "Haunted Mansion" movie, inspired by the Haunted Mansion attractions in Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, will release in theaters July 28, 2023. Originally slated for an Aug. 11, 2023 release, the new movie is directed by Justin Simien, and is said to be a modern and comedic, but eerie take on the famous ride and its backstory.
The "Haunted Mansion" movie plot follows a doctor and her son who move into an old mansion in New Orleans inhabited by ghosts. In the film, a tour guide, psychic, historian and priest join the family in trying to exorcise the property. Featuring a cast filled with A-list actors, such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson, Danny Devito and Tiffany Haddish, the film is sure to be a chilling hit!
