A Step Inside the Holidays at LEGOLAND Florida Resort

Inside This Post

OK, perhaps "a step inside" LEGOLAND wasn't the best wording, as it could be reminiscent of the pain you feel when you step barefoot on a rogue LEGO. Sorry, Mommy Frog! Anyway, I digress ... Tad here, reporting on all of this holiday season's most fun events! The Frog Family visited for the Holidays at LEGOLAND, and I'm hoppy to share all of the deets with you folks.

LEGOLAND Florida Christmas Bricktacular - Tree

First, let's cover the basics:

Holidays at LEGOLAND Overview

Holidays at LEGOLAND take place on select nights from now until the end of the year. In 2024, these dates include Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1, 7-8, 14-15 and 21-31. Moreover, don't worry ... the holiday fun won't interrupt your usual LEGOLAND fun. The festivities are included with park admission (and during normal hours). Instead, these are just little seasonal bonuses throughout the park for families to enjoy. As a result, there are tons of fun activities to keep tadpoles even busier than usual at one of our favorite kid-centric parks.

North Pole Postal Service

Holidays at LEGOLAND - North Pole Postal Service

To start, head to the North Pole Postal Service in Fun Town and share your Christmas wish with LEGO Santa. Afterward, watch your letter arrive at the North Pole!

Time to Learn About the Holidays

Inside the DUPLO Valley Schoolhouse is the seasonal show, Time to Learn About the Holidays. This 20-minute show teaches young frogs aged 2-6 about the holiday season and what it has to offer.

Holidays at LEGOLAND - Time to Learn About Holidays

(New) Elf Training Academy

Frode, one of the newer LEGO elves to visit LEGOLAND this year is going on a mission — and taking you along for the ride! Do you have what it takes to sing like an elf? Build like an elf? Or move like an elf? That's what Frode is setting out to find out in this all-new seasonal interactive show! Watch it at 11 am, 12:15 pm, 2:15 pm and 4:15 pm at the LEGOLAND Fun Town Theater.

The Very Merry Mix Up

The LEGO Gingerbread Man leads this returning froggy favorite, where you will sing along and indulge in the magic of the season! Catch this show at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm at the LEGOLAND Fun Town theater.

(New) Holly Hype Dance Party

Sing and dance with LEGO Reindeer Girl at the Holly Hype Dance Party outside the LEGOLAND Fun Town Theater. This interactive dance party is great for frogs of all ages. Catch it at 1 pm, 4:45 pm, 6 pm and 7:15 pm.

Carousel Holiday Sing-A-Long

You'll find this sing-along at the Grand Carousel. Hop on and sing along in this merry experience!

Santa's Toy Build

LEGO Santa needs to fill his bag with toys — and he needs your help! Outside of the Pizza Pasta Buffet, let your imagination soar as you build your bricks for LEGO Santa!

Build to Give

And speaking of LEGO Santa, head on over to the Dream Creation Station where you can build a LEGO heart to donate to children who need a little extra Christmas magic. Mommy and Daddy Frog always talk about how important it is to give back – so this is a must-do for our frog family!

Festival of Flurries

Lily loves this seasonal show and it's returning again for 2024! The Festival of Flurries over, at Kingdoms Stage, celebrates all things snow! After celebrating this frozen favorite, guests can meet LEGO Snowman. (Deets on where to meet him and when below).

LEGO Holiday Character Experiences

Take elfies with LEGO Santa, LEGO Gingerbread Man, LEGO Nutcracker, LEGO Snowman and more merry characters this winter season! This year, LEGOLAND introduced new characters, Frode and Ivy — two holiday elves!

The Gingerbread Man meets for 20 minutes at select times per day outside of the LEGOLAND Fun Town Theater. You'll find LEGO Santa and his elves at Heartlake Hall at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm. LEGO Snowman greets guests at the Kingdoms Stage at 11:45 am, 1 pm and 5:30 pm. And, LEGO Nutcracker meets near DUPLO Valley at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.

Sleigh Competition Build

Inside LEGO Kingdoms, you can create your very own sleigh designs for Santa. Let your imagination fly just like his reindeer!

Holiday Traditions Scavenger Hunt

After the Time to Learn About the Holidays show, grab a scavenger hunt form in DUPLO Valley and search for clues. Undoubtedly, there's nothing like a scavenger hunt to scratch that competitive itch! (You're on Daddy Frog!)

Creative Ornament Coloring

Both Mommy Frog and Lily love the creative ornament coloring offering in DUPLO Valley. Held between 11 am - 5:30 pm, guests can color an ornament and hang it on an empty branch of the area's Christmas tree!

(New) Bricktastic LEGO Christmas Tree

The new Bricktastic LEGO tree is awesome! Over 30 feet tall, it features nearly 365,000 LEGO and DUPLO bricks that's as festive as it is creative. Furthermore, Mommy Frog loves the group photos taken in front of the tree and the life-sized LEGO reindeer and sleigh. Lily loves the giant LEGO brick wreath, too. In fact, it's our family Christmas card this year!

Holiday Treats

Holiday treats get you in the Christmas spirit! There are many holly-jolly-themed food and drinks all around the park! For instance, this year's treats include the Merry Maple Apple Fries, The Season's Greetings Swirl ice cream cone and the Christmas Crepe (Mommy Frog loved those!)

Kids' New Year's Eve

Between Dec. 26 - 31, frogs can ring in the new year with rides, activities and more merry fun. The best part? Tadpoles can return to the hotel without any FOMO since LEGOLAND Florida ignites the sky over Lake Eloise with an early, kid-friendly LEGO bricks fireworks display. As such, Lily doesn't have to miss her bedtime to enjoy this colorful New Year's tradition!

Holidays at LEGOLAND Tips

Holidays at LEGOLAND - Santa's Sleigh

This festive fun is pretty low-key and easy to navigate — which is exactly why we LOVE it — so there's no need for too many tips here. Just keep it simple!

  • Firstly, arrive early! Hop on any high-priority rides (with potentially long lines later) before the rest of the crowds arrive before jumping in on the holiday cheer.
  • Be prepared for any weather. The forecast can flip within hours! For this reason, be sure to bring sweatshirts (or tank tops!) just in case.
  • Set a budget. This is a year-round rule for us at LEGOLAND ... my fault!
  • Let the tadpoles play. There are SO many activities set up for them around LEGOLAND to help them get creative AND festive. The calm environment and low crowds (versus some other parks) allow parents to really enjoy the moment.
  • Finally, take lots of pictures! Fun characters and festive photo-ops are holiday card magic.

It's ALWAYS a fun time at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and especially with Holidays at LEGOLAND taking place. In conclusion, we toadally recommend hopping by if you're in the area for the holidays. And don't forget to hop on our discounted tickets before heading to the park!

Wondering about the fast passes that allow you to skip lines all day. I keep reading that the park doesn’t really get that crowded. So, is it worth purchasing the fast passes?

Hi Sheena!

It really just depends! Generally, we would recommend if you are only going for one day and want to do everything, including the water park and shows. The holiday season may also be a contributing factor, as lines could get longer than a typical day.

Hoppy planning!
