OK, maybe "a step inside" LEGOLAND wasn't the best wording, as it could be reminiscent of the pain you feel when you step barefoot on a rogue LEGO. Sorry, Mommy Frog! But I digress ... Tad here, reporting on all of this holiday season's most fun events! The Frog Family visited for the Holidays at LEGOLAND, and I'm hoppy to share all of the deets with you folks.
LEGOLAND Florida Christmas Bricktacular Overview
The LEGOLAND Florida Christmas Bricktacular takes place Nov. 26-28, Dec. 4-5, 11-12, 18-19 and 24-31. This means every weekend, Christmas Eve through New Year's Eve! Don't worry ... the holiday fun won't interrupt your usual LEGOLAND fun. The festivities are included with park admission (and during normal hours) and are just little seasonal bonuses throughout the park. There are tons of fun activities to keep tadpoles even busier than usual at one of our favorite kid-centric parks.
Holidays at LEGOLAND Florida Resort Activities
Santa's Toy Build
Just outside the Pizza Pasta Buffet, you can use LEGO bricks and your imagination to help LEGO Santa fill his bag with toys and gifts.
Carousel Holiday Sing-A-Long
Hop aboard the multi-level Grand Carousel and join in the fun holiday sing-a-long as you spin around and around.
Holiday Traditions Scavenger Hunt
DUPLO Valley is covered in favorite holiday traditions! Grab a scavenger hunt form and follow the clues that lead to these festive holiday icons.
North Pole Postal Service
Head to LEGOLAND Fun Town and share your Christmas wish with LEGO Santa. When you're done, watch your letter arrive at the North Pole!
Creative Ornament Coloring
Help decorate DUPLO Valley's Christmas tree by coloring in your favorite ornament and adding it to an empty branch. You can make it Christmas-themed or design it however your froggy heart desires.
Frosty Hoops & Snowball Toss
Test your yuletide skills in a quick game of Frosty Hoops or Snowball Toss. If you're lucky, you might even score a wintery win!
The Very Merry Mixup
After a mix-up in the kitchen, Mrs. Claus' crew of holiday helpers find themselves in a delicious dilemma! Join the frosted fun at the LEGOLAND Fun Town Theater by singing along and learning to believe in the magic of the holidays. This show is approximately 20 minutes long.
Time to Learn About Holidays
Join the schoolhouse teachers in the Florida Prepaid Schoolhouse as they celebrate all things holidays! Perfect for tadpoles ages 2 to 6, this brand-new, 15-minute show is a fun lesson in everything the holiday season has to offer.
Academy of Holiday Cheer
The Holiday Cheer Security Team is training new recruits to ensure everyone's spirit is ready for the holidays. Join this interactive show at LEGO City Stage where you'll sing, dance and laugh your way into the holiday spirit too! This brand-new show is approximately 15 minutes long.
LEGO Holiday Photo-Ops
Meet LEGO Santa and a LEGO Toy Soldier, or simply visit the actual LEGO model of Santa Claus, along with his reindeer and sleigh. We loved the giant, gorgeous LEGO wreath that's practically Christmas card-ready in LEGO City. You can find Holiday Unikitty nearby too.
LEGO City Holiday Light Spectacular
Enjoy the spirit of the holidays as LEGO City comes to life with exciting music, dazzling lights and, of course, the giant LEGO Christmas tree! You don't want to miss this spectacular celebration. This show is approximately seven minutes long and occurs every 15 minutes from 5 p.m. to park close.
Holiday Treats
Candy Cane Créme Brulee and Granny's Holiday Pumpkin Apple Fries will get you in the Christmas spirit, even in the warm Florida temperatures!
Kids' New Year's Party
Between Dec. 26 to 31, frogs can keep enjoying Holidays at LEGOLAND, plus a nightly DJ Dance Party in LEGO Technic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. AND the Kids' New Year's Eve Fireworks at Pirate's Cove. Pretty sweet, right? PERFECT for tadpoles (mom and dad sure aren't complaining either), the fireworks show takes place nightly at midnight Kid Standard Time, aka 8 p.m. for an early bedtime. The LEGO brick-drop countdown to midnight will be made even more bricktacular with complimentary fireworks viewing glasses which make it appear as if LEGO bricks are exploding in the sky.
Find Santa and His Helpers in MINILAND USA
In years past, MINILAND USA has played host to a special scavenger hunt. While it's not an official event this year, you can still hop on over to the newly shaded area of the park and try to spot Santa, his reindeer-pulled sleigh and some mischievous elves throughout the models.
LEGOLAND Florida Christmas Bricktacular Tips
This festive fun is pretty low-key and easy to navigate — which is exactly why we LOVE it — so there's no need for too many tips here. Just keep it simple!
- Arrive early! Hop on any high-priority rides (with potentially long lines later) before the rest of the crowds arrive before jumping in on the holiday cheer.
- Be prepared for any weather. The forecast can flip within hours! Be sure to bring sweatshirts (or tank tops!) just in case.
- Set a budget. This is a year-round rule for us at LEGOLAND ... my fault!
- Let the tadpoles play. There are SO many activities set up for them around LEGOLAND to help them get creative AND festive. The calm environment and low crowds (versus some other parks) allow parents to really enjoy the moment.
- Take lots of pictures! Fun characters and festive photo-ops are holiday card magic.
It's ALWAYS a fun time at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and especially with Holidays at LEGOLAND taking place. We toadally recommend hopping by if you're in the area for the holidays. And don't forget to hop on our discounted tickets before heading to the park!
