All the Deets on the Metallica Tour 2024-25
The heavy metal band has been grinding away for over 40 years, with hits such as "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "Fade to Black," "Enter Sandman," "Nothing Else Matters," "Until it Sleeps," "One" and "Master of Puppets." Metallica has won eight Grammy Awards and has sold over 125 million albums worldwide.
The "M72 World Tour" takes place continues through 2025. It follows the release of the album (and title track) "72 Seasons."
If you've never seen Metallica play live, choose your ticket wisely. If you want to be in the mosh pit, the floor is the place for you. The energy can vary per show, but we saw people linking arms, marching around and going pretty hard. The fans are generally nice, though, and will pick you up if they knock you down. If that is not for you, a seat it is.
Setlist
OK, get this. You just might have to purchase two nights of Metallica to hear your favorite Metallica songs played live. If you are a huge fan who wants to go both nights, get the 2-Day Pass at a location to save money. You'll get a total of over 30 songs spanning over 40 years.
The "M72 World Tour" has Metallica playing two nights in every city on their tour docket. And each night has a completely different setlist and opening acts. It's a "No Repeat Weekend," in the round. The stage is in the middle with the crowd surrounding it.

The Metallica Tour Opening Acts
Metallica rotates its opening acts, which may include Pantera, Mammoth WVH, Greta Van Fleet, Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, Architects and Ice Nine Kills. Metallica plays two nights in each city and has different opening acts for each show in that city. Two different bands may open each show.
