Since its opening to guests, Beast’s Castle and Be Our Guest restaurant have attracted visitors from far and wide, quickly filling for both lunch and dinner. Starting in March, Be Our Guest opened its doors for breakfast, allowing guests to start their day inside this enchanted castle with a French-style petit déjeuner. Of course, as big fans of the lunch and dinner, we just had to stop in for Be Our Guest's breakfast too!
In the same fashion as lunch, breakfast diners enter the castle and choose their meal on the selection screens, receive an enchanted rose and are invited to select a table. Their meal will be brought to them wherever they choose in the Ballroom, the Rose Gallery, or the West Wing. Guests who make advance dining reservations (ADRs) for a Be Our Guest breakfast before Magic Kingdom opens are allowed early entry in order to accommodate their reservations.
The menu is prix fixe, with adult breakfast entrees priced at $19.99 each. Choices include Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese, Open-Face Bacon and Egg Sandwich, Eggs Florentine, Scrambled Egg Whites with fruit, Vegetable Quiche, and Croissant Doughnut with Banana-Caramel Sauce. Children’s breakfast entrees cost $11.99 each, with a choice of Crepes, Oatmeal, French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, or Kellogg’s Cereal. A plate of fresh pastries is presented at each table along with the entrees.
Like magic, our server arrived at our table with a beautiful case of breakfast delights. We sampled the Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese, served on a wooden cutting board with a hunk of warm toasted baguette, fresh strawberries and marmalade. This traditional European breakfast was quite filling, and we ended up saving some of the meat and bread for a mid-morning snack!
My creamy Eggs Florentine arrived in an airy puff pastry basket accompanied by roasted tomatoes and a thick slice of country ham. The eggs were silky, but light on the spinach, so it wasn’t much of a Florentine, but delicious nonetheless. A combination of savory and sweet, the selection of pastries that came with our meal included a buttery croissant, a rich chocolate chip croissant, miniature muffins, and a cinnamon roll with a sugary icing drizzle. Self-serve beverages are included.
It seems most people, including the Beast, do not like to get up early (the Beast does not currently make appearances during breakfast service). Reservations, highly prized and hard to get for dinner, seem to be much easier to acquire for breakfast. This is probably the best time to dine in the West Wing, as it sees a steady stream of foot traffic from people wanting to take pictures of the enchanted rose during lunch and dinner.
For those wanting to dine at Be Our Guest, but who are unable to book dinner reservations or get a table for lunch, breakfast is a great option. The food is delicious and filling, and you still get to enjoy the atmosphere of the castle while it is less crowded than later in the day.
Be Our Guest breakfast runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. My advice is to get an early reservation, so you don’t miss valuable park time. Although, for those of you who enjoys sleep and a leisurely breakfast, it might be nice to get a little extra rest and have a relaxing morning meal instead. Either way, Be Our Guest restaurant has become a must-try dining experience, and now guests can step into the classic story and enjoy this unique eatery throughout every meal of the day.
