Favorite Places to Watch the Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

Fireworks at Magic Kingdom® ParkHappy 4th of July from the Frog Family!

We hope you all are having a fantastic day wherever you are, and hopefully a few of you are enjoying the holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort.

As we mentioned in our July planning guide, Disney is celebrating the 4th of July all week with a few special treats, including a few scrumptious eats. But the biggest treat of them all is a special, star-spangled fireworks show over Cinderella Castle -- no, not just one night, but the ENTIRE week! Those of you heading to Magic Kingdom® Park between now and Sunday will have the pleasure of watching "Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" -- including a brand-new musical score produced in concert band style -- instead of "Wishes fireworks show."

Fireworks

On the occasion of the holiday, we asked you yesterday to share with us some of your favorite places to view the fireworks, and we thought we'd share some of our favorite suggestions! You can read them all here:

Sarah M: My favorite place is standing in Town Square, in front of the flagpole looking down Main Street, U.S.A.®®!

Tory W: The best place to watch the fireworks is from the Polynesian hotel, on the beach.

Rebecca W: We love to watch them from in front of the castle. There is nothing more beautiful than the castle with the colors changing and the fireworks exploding overhead.

Joyce: California grill atop the contemporary with the music piped right in there. Did it for our honeymoon and it was magical. Unforgettable and great for special occasions.

Martine R: Wishes is best viewed in front of Cinderella’s Castle near the bridge to Tomorrowland® Area, that way in case a certain fairy flies over you can get a great view!

Chris A: Another great spot away from the crowds is over at the GF! We went to the boat dock but it was pretty crowded. We went around to the other other side (past Gasparilla Grill) and down to the end of walkway and we had a perfect view of the holiday fireworks and there was hardly a soul there!

Kathy P: Best place to watch is from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad® Attraction!

Have a favorite spot we haven't listed? Feel free to share it in comments below!

Here's to a hoppy 4th!

Keep hopping, Mommy Frog!

Hi Eeckel,

If you have valid tickets, then you can get back into the park.

Best,

Disney Tip of the Day - There is nothing better than Disney fireworks. A cast member told me that Disney is #2 in the USA when it comes to explosives. Does anyone know who is #1?

As awesome as the fireworks are, leaving the park after seeing fireworks might be one of the most miserable parts of the trip. In order to get out of the park faster, and with a little less caos, travel through the gift shops. Mainstreet is packed with strollers and this typically involves many stroller/Achilles accidents on exit.

When traveling through the gift shops, you will have more room to maneuver and keep your Achilles as well. The gift shops are still crowed, but not nearly as bad as Mainstreet.

I get a room with a Disney view at the Wyndham at Downtown Disney (also available at the Best Western) and some nights, have watched both the Magic Kingdom's and EPCOT's fireworks going off almost simultaneously...very impressive!
