Summary

When getting ready for a long and exciting day at Universal Orlando Resort, it's imperative to fuel up first thing in the morning. As they say, breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day! If there's any meal I can never go without, it's breakfast (or brunch). I absolutely love breakfast food — and there's no shortage of delicious (and nutritious) options on property, whether you want to kick back and relax at an on-site hotel — regardless of if you're staying there or not — or race to the parks to get a head start on some rides. From bountiful buffets to convenient quick-service joints, here are the best places to grab breakfast at Universal Orlando Resort.

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - Toothsome

The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - The Kitchen French Toast

Bar-none, this might be one of my favorite dining locations on property. The breakfast buffet at The Kitchen is a rockin' way to start any frog's day with an epic assortment of farm fresh egg dishes at its omelet station (including custom omelets), breakfast classics at its griddle station, delicious dry cereals, fresh cut fruits, yummy yogurts, sweet sticky buns and so much more. My go-to entree here is the Elvis French Toast, a delectable dish made with baguette slices, bananas, peanut butter and caramel sauce.

If you'd rather have your food brought to your table, most everything is available à la carte. (All egg dishes are even served with toast and heavenly hash potatoes with green onions and bell peppers!) Want to splurge on your Sunday morning? Book a reservation for the Acoustic Brunch and enjoy a live performance while you feast on brunch favorites from a full breakfast buffet, salad bar, carving station, salmon platter and other chef-inspired creations. Be sure to check out the marvelous musical memorabilia stationed around the restaurant while you're here!

Islands Dining Room at Loews Royal Pacific Hotel

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - Islands Dining Room

Another divine dining option, Islands Dining Room takes your taste buds on a trip to the South Seas with tropical flavors that can't be beaten! Honestly, no matter what you choose, you can't go wrong here. Hang ten with the Hawaiian Pancakes made with toasted coconut, golden pineapple and macadamia nuts or tow-in with the Tahitian French Toast L'Orange made with caramelized bananas and cinnamon butter. Pack on the protein with farm fresh egg dishes such as Avocado Toast and Black Angus Steak & Eggs. Opt for a healthy alternative such as the Pacifica Fruit Platter or the Tropical Fruit Parfait. (There are even some options for gluten-free froggies like pancakes with mixed berries and breakfast pizza!)

Whatever you do decide to eat, I can't recommend the P.O.G. (passion/orange/guava) juice enough to wash it all down with. This Hawaiian staple is one of my absolute favorite things to drink. Want to choose your own adventure? Select the breakfast buffet where you'll find fresh fruit, fresh pastries, fresh charcuterie, an omelet station and more!

Best Breakfast at Universal Orlando Theme Parks

Green Eggs and Ham Cafe in Seuss Landing

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - Green Eggs and Ham

Looking for something on the savory side? One of the most inventive culinary creations at Universal Orlando is the Green Eggs & Ham Tots in Universal's Islands of Adventure. What exactly does that consist of, you ask? It's green eggs (colored with spinach pesto), diced ham and white cheese sauce over tater tots. Think a crispy and crunchy eggs benedict. (Not to mention, it's perfectly filling!)

That's not the only thing you'll find at this verdant vendor, though. Come back for lunch or dinner and try the Carnitas Tots, Buffalo Chicken Tots, the Pizza Tots (which also come in a vegan option) and the legendary Who Hash, made with corned beef, onions, white cheese sauce, scallions and tater tots in a convenient Who Hash can.

Leaky Cauldron in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - Leaky Cauldron

While you'll be able to find Continental, American and Traditional English breakfasts at Three Broomsticks over in Hogsmeade, the offerings at Leaky Cauldron have a little more variety — making it my personal pick for a Wizarding World breakfast. Here you'll also find Traditional and American breakfasts (as well as pancakes in both locations), but two other delicious menu offerings here are the Egg, Leek & Mushroom Pasty (a savory, protein-packed option) and the Apple Oatmeal Flan with Yogurt & Fruit (something a little sweeter). Additionally, instead of opting for apple or orange juice, try the famous Pumpkin Juice for a taste of autumn year-round!

TODAY Cafe in Production Central

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - Today Cafe Bagel

Whenever anyone asks me where they can find something on the healthier side, I always point them toward TODAY Cafe. This new addition to Universal Studios Florida is severely underrated and an absolute favorite of this frog fam! The breakfast sandwich selection here is no joke. From the fancier Breakfast Sandwich, Everything Croissant and Egg White Florentine to the more classic Ham, Egg & Cheese and Smoked Salmon Lox Bagel, this quick-service spot offers the perfect menu to boost your energy for a long day of thrills. It also has Fruit Bowls, Overnight Oats and Tropical Chia Pudding, not to mention an impressive counter filled with delectable pastries, such as tarts, danishes, muffins and more!

Best Breakfast at Universal Orlando CityWalk

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen

Breakfast at Universal Orlando - Toothsome French Toast

This CityWalk staple might be known for its impressive and delicious dessert selection ... but did you know they also serve brunch items all day long?!? With sweet waffle offerings, such as Berries & Creme and Bananas Foster, savory French Toast offerings, such as Patty Melt and Country Fresh and crave-able quiches and crépes, every item on this menu is just as good as the next. The one caveat here is this restaurant opens at 9 a.m. Fridays through Sundays and 10:30 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays, so while we love stopping for lunch here to refuel between parks (and especially dinner to end the night with a mouthwatering milkshake or sugary sundae), you're going to be looking at a later entrance if you want to start here on a park day.
