Who doesn't love a big birthday surprise?! We caught a new Disney 100 version of the Mickey & Friends Cavalcade marching through Disneyland Park. We knew Mickey and Minnie Mouse and their friends would don exclusive party outfits for the celebration, but it was frogciting to see them all on a sparkling platinum and purple float with other Disney characters alongside them.
That fun cavalcade kept us entertained until the Magic Happens Parade returned in late February. Now that the parade is back you can catch most of these characters in two parade show times instead. Hop over to our Magic Happens post to get the scoop on that frogciting parade. Sadly, there are no more cavalcade show times posted at this time.
The cavalcade started nearby "it's a small world" and proceeded down the regular parade route. Cavalcade performers in the front wore platinum jackets and carried a Disney 100 banner.
A group of Disney characters, including Moana, Merida, Aladdin, Genie, Geppetto, Mirabel, Wendy, Peter Pan and more, followed along — with some of them waving platinum flags. Lastly, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and Chip 'n' Dale rode all together on the festive float, topped with a giant silver Disney 100 medallion, as a new upbeat song played.
Now you can catch the Magic Happens parade, usually at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. daily, depending on the weather.
What do you think of the new Disney 100 upgrade to the Mickey & Friends Cavalcade?
