Not only is parking at Disney World convenient, but you can come and go as you please. Want to start your day off at Magic Kingdom but wrap it up at EPCOT? Just hop in your car and head over. No waiting on bus schedules for you! This is your frogtastic guide to all things parking at Disney World. Ka-chow!

Can You Park at Disney World?

Let's start with the most common question: Can you park at Disney World? The answer is a resounding yes! This includes all four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, the ESPN Wide World of Sports and every resort hotel. Details depend on location, so we'll dive deeper into how much it costs to park at Disney World (among other important details).

How Much Is Parking at Disney World?

Theme Parks

Each of the resort's four theme parks offers standard, preferred and oversized vehicle parking. As of 2025, standard parking is $30 per passenger car or motorcycle. Preferred parking for cars and motorcycles ranges between $45 and $55 per day, depending on the time of year you visit. Parking during peak periods such as over the summer and during the holiday season will be more expensive. This type of parking gets you closest to the park entrance, or if traveling to Magic Kingdom, near the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).

Oversized parking, which includes parking for RVs, limos, tractor-trailers and other oversized vehicles is $35 per day. Chances are, this type of parking won't apply to you unless you're traveling in an RV or camper.

The frogtastic thing about paying for Disney World parking is that it's a one-time fee per day. This means that if you already paid for parking at Hollywood Studios but want to visit Magic Kingdom that night, you won't have to pay an additional fee. (Just be sure to keep your receipt!) These parking fees also include tax.

Water Parks

Nowadays, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach operate cyclically, which means only one water park is open at a time. The good news is that, whichever park you visit, you'll be treated to free standard parking!

That's right — at all points of the year, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon offer complimentary standard parking to all guests, regardless of whether they're staying on-site.

Disney Springs

Disney World Parking - Disney Springs Lime Garage entrance

Just like the water parks, Disney Springs also offers complimentary standard parking to all guests. There are three main parking garages at Disney Springs — Orange, Lime and Grapefruit. If you have reservations at Planet Hollywood or want to snap a photo with the iconic Coca-Cola polar bear, park at the Orange Garage. This is closest to those mentioned, as well as the AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-in Theatres, Aerophile — The World Leader in Balloon Flight and Disney Style.

If you want to walk around the heart of Town Center, park in Lime. This gets you closest to the World of Disney and other shops such as UNIQLO, Anthropologie and Disney Ever After where you can find those adorable create-your-own-headbands! (You know the ones.)

The other garage option is Grapefruit, but keep in mind that this is the furthest one from Disney Springs. In fact, it's actually located across the street from Disney Springs, so you'll have to take the pedestrian bridge to get there. Upon entry to Disney Springs, you'll be closest to Basin, the other side of World of Disney, Earl of Sandwich and the Marketplace Co-Op. This is also where you'll likely park if you want to walk over to Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

On the other side closest to Cirque du Soleil, there's surface parking. Standard parking is still free and it's closest to Jaleo, House of Blues and Splitsville Luxury Lanes.

Disney Resort Hotels

Standard parking is complimentary to anyone staying overnight at a Disney World hotel with a valid reservation — this includes the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Likewise, standard parking is free if you're just visiting for the day to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping (during the holidays, we recommend resort hopping to see all the holiday decorations!).

There are exceptions to the rule, however. While standard self-parking is complimentary to resort guests, there is a parking fee for those staying at the Swan and Dolphin hotels, as well as the Swan Reserve. This is because they're not owned by Disney, but rather operated by Marriott International, Inc. As such, standard parking at these resorts is $36/night and valet is $44/night. If you have a reservation at the spa or one of the restaurants including Todd English's bluezoo or Il Mulino, your parking will be validated.

If you are staying at one of the deluxe resorts and villas, you'll have the option of using valet parking. Because it's often used as a conference location, valet parking is offered at Coronado Springs, too. Valet parking is $42/night, excluding tax.

ESPN Wide World of Sports

Like Disney Springs and the water parks, standard self-parking is also complimentary for visitors of ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Disney World Parking Rates for Annual Passholders and DVC Members

Disney World Annual Passes – New Logo

Free standard parking at the theme parks is one of the many perks for Annual Passholders and DVC members (as long as you're staying at a Disney Resort on DVC vacation points — otherwise, you would need to pay the parking fee). As you pull up to the entry of the theme park, just let the cast member in the booth know that you're either an Annual Passholder or a DVC member. Before they let you through, you'll have to show them your driver's license and pass.

You can also opt to upgrade to preferred parking by paying the difference in cost between the standard parking and preferred parking for that day (currently between $15 to $25 per day).

Getting to the Parks After Parking at the Transportation & Ticket Center

Guide to Disney World Transportation - Parking trams

If you're parking at EPCOT, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom, you can either walk from your car to the park's entry or hop on a tram. Magic Kingdom, on the other hand, requires a few more steps.

Because Magic Kingdom is located about a mile from the parking lot, guests will first have to either walk or take the complimentary tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once there, you'll go through a security checkpoint. To get to Magic Kingdom, you can either hop on the ferry or monorail. Like the tadpole she is, Lily loves taking the ferry. However, we're full steam ahead on the monorail if it's raining! Both are great options that take about 10 minutes and drop you off at the front of Magic Kingdom.

At the end of the night, you'll have to take either the ferry or monorail back to the TTC and then the tram to go back to the parking lot. Because we're so tired at the end of the night, we usually spring for preferred parking when visiting Magic Kingdom. Trust us, it makes a difference!

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations at Disney World

If you're one of the many people who drive an electric vehicle (EV), don't stress — Disney's got you covered. There are tons of electric vehicle charging stations available in both the surface lots and garages around property. At Magic Kingdom, head to the front of the Zurg and medical parking lots; there are a total of nine stations in these sections.

Head to the HeiHei lot if parking at EPCOT and the Mickey lot if visiting Hollywood Studios. At Animal Kingdom, charging stations are located in the medical lot. Disney Springs offers the most EV stations on property — 13. These are found on the 5th floor of both Orange and Lime garages and on the 3rd floor in the Grapefruit garage. There are also four in the surface parking lot closest to Cirque du Soleil.

You'll find EV charging stations at Coronado Springs, Wilderness Lodge and Riveria Resort, too. Keep in mind that you will need to use either a ChargePoint card or a personal credit card to use these charging stations. It's $0.35 per kilowatt hour, but you will need to pay a minimum of $1.50. As anyone with an EV knows, waiting for your battery to charge can be quite boring. But at Disney, the fun doesn't have to stop! Just plug in and ChargePoint will notify you when the charge is complete! No need to sit there and wait.

Accessible Parking Options

If you or someone you're traveling with needs additional assistance, Disney offers medical parking lots. These are available to guests using mobility devices or who require a shorter distance from their vehicle to and from the parks. While the standard and preferred parking rates still apply, guests will also need to have — and show — a valid disability parking permit.

Disney World Parking Tips We've Found Helpful

Downtown Disney parking garage

Having parked at the Disney World resorts and theme parks for years, here are some tips we've found most helpful:

  • Arrive an hour early: If you are trying to make your reservation, be sure to leave enough time for parking. Trams and security checkpoints at the TTC can have long wait times during certain times of the year. You know how they say you can't make time up on the road? Well, that applies to parking at Disney World, too.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: Sometimes, you'll find a really close spot and other times, you'll be walking for 10-15 minutes. Wearing the right footwear goes a long way, especially at the end of the night.
  • Prepare for Grapefruit Garage to be your only option: It's rare, but there are times when the most convenient parking spots at Disney Springs are full, leaving Grapefruit as your only option. This will usually be during peak periods, like Christmas and spring break.
  • Look for the green lights: And speaking of Disney Springs, finding a parking spot has never been easier! Just look for the green light above the parking space indicating that it's empty. If it's full, it'll have a red light instead.
  • Always walk in front of your vehicle: For safety reasons, parking attendants will ask you to walk in front of your car when heading to the front gate of the park. Grab what you need from the back and then head forward.
  • Remember your parking spot: Be sure to take note of where you parked! You can easily do so by using the Car Locator feature in the My Disney Experience app. It uses Location Services to find and save your parking details at the theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Otherwise, taking a photo of the row number works well!

So there you have it — the rundown on all things Disney World parking! Who knew there was so much to cover? Do you usually park at the theme parks when visiting? And do you have a favorite garage (we're personally #TeamLime all the way. Though maybe it's because us frogs like green?) Oh and speaking of green, did you know you can save when you book through Undercover Tourist? Check out these deals before they hop away.
