Downtown Disney makes for an easy place to grab food or a drink outside the Disneyland parks. You don't need a park ticket to dine there, which makes it a great place to eat on an arrival or departure day. It's also popular with locals, and it's a spot inside the "Disney bubble" for people staying at nearby hotels. Here are our favorite Downtown Disney foods. Hop back, as more options are opening throughout 2026!
FAQs
- What are Downtown Disney hours? You can find Downtown Disney hours in the Disneyland app. It's usually open 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., depending on park hours; however, individual restaurant hours vary.
- Do any Downtown Disney Restaurants serve breakfast? Yes, you can grab quick items from Tiendita (highly recommended!), Earl of Sandwich, Parkside Market Coffee and Starbucks. Naples serves a sit-down breakfast. Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby will add breakfast after the initial opening period.
- Where do I park for Downtown Disney? If you aren't walking in or also visiting the theme parks, you can park in the Simba Lot next to the Pixar Place Hotel off Disneyland Drive. You'll pay $10 for the first hour, and then you can get validated for 3-5 hours of parking, depending on where you eat at Downtown Disney only, and how much you spend (minimum of $20).
- Do I need to make dining reservations? We recommend making dining reservations for table-service locations in the Disneyland app. Din Tai Fung and Ballast Point manage their own reservations. You can reserve Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby through Open Table.
- Do I need a park ticket to visit Downtown Disney? No, but you do need to go through a security check before entering, even if you are coming from a Disney hotel. BTW, you can save on your Disneyland hotel stay through Undercover Tourist (and secure your stay for only a $200 deposit!).

Tiendita
If we had to pick one place to eat, where you cannot go wrong, it's Tiendita. It's off the side, the quick-service option next to Paseo and Céntrico, which share the same Michelin-starred head chef, Carlos Guytán. There is nothing flashy about his location to draw you in. But their burritos are SO GOOD, with quality ingredients. I think about this breakfast burrito all the time, even when I'm not at Disneyland. I am a fan of the pork, and my husband swears by the carne asada. And we are not alone. Everyone we introduce this burrito to loves it. It's the best quick-service breakfast on property, and it won't break the bank. Plus, portions are large enough to share. Whether you go for a breakfast burrito or quesadilla, you will not be disappointed. You can get chocolate-dipped buñuelos for dessert or a snack.
If you want a sit-down meal, Paseo is a little more upscale and Céntrico has a great outdoor bar/restaurant location right in the middle of Downtown Disney, both with tasty food. But if you want a meal on the go (on your way to/from the parks, or something to bring back to your hotel room), Tiendita is our pick for the price and food. You can save 10% if you show a Magic Key.
Earl of Sandwich
After trying out different spots around Downtown Disney, Earl of Sandwich opened up in its new permanent home near the park and Downtown Disney stage. The new location is light and airy. This first-floor location shares a building with its upstairs table-service partner, Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby.
Come here for affordable breakfast sandwiches, bowls and burritos in the morning. Or grab a sandwich, wrap or salad for lunch or dinner, snacks and more. This location has baked goods, a carving station (The Carvery — where staff slice pastrami throughout the day), as well as The Pub, which serves draft beer, wine, frozen cocktails and other beverages.
Napolini
Can you ever go wrong with a custom pizza made just for you? Choose one from the menu or build your own.
If you want a sit-down Italian meal, Naples next door is also good and has a nice outdoor patio and bar. (If you've seen pics of the Mickey margarita for two, Naples is where it's at!)
Top Table-Service Options
You have an ever-expanding list of table-service locations to choose from (with a steakhouse, barbecue place, and more opening in 2026). Here are the three that we find ourselves coming back to.
Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby (Now open!)
If you are looking for great food, vibes and a view, this brand-new upstairs location has it all. Themed after the 1960s British Invasion, the walls are lined with posters and art from that era. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It has two bars. One indoor bar and an outdoor terrace with a 98-inch TV, making it another great spot to catch a game. You can reserve through Open Table.
This eatery serves Gordon Ramsay's renowned cuisine. Expect classic British fare (with a modern flair and view of palm trees), including Chef Ramsay’s legendary beef Wellington, crisp and tender fish and chips, and decadent sticky toffee pudding (Gordon Ramsay's mom's recipe).
There's a table-side Prime Rib Cart, where you can enjoy hand-carved selections served with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, creamed spinach and au jus. Everything here is delicious. We can't stop drooling over all of it. The carrots and creamed spinach are to die for!
Plus, live performances with '60s era energy make this spot perfect for a night out! It also has fun drinks and mocktails. There's a kids' menu, as well, to make the littlest tummies happy too.
During the soft opening period, it's open for dinner 4:30 to 10 p.m. After a few months, it will open for breakfast and lunch.
Din Tai Fung
The first Asian restaurant at Downtown Disney is a hit. Reservations are highly recommended. If you can't snag a reservation, keep checking or join the walk-up list. If worse comes to worst, and you cannot get in when you want, order some food to go and eat it on the lawn next to the restaurant while you listen to live music. Order to-go in person, online or by phone. You can reserve dining through this link.
You may think we are silly frogs, but one of our favorite things to order is the green bean dish! Learn more in our Din Tai Fung post.
Splitsville and The Alley
We are a fan of Splitsville food. Whether you choose to dine inside and watch a game on the many large-screen TVs, bowl with your party while you eat, or sit outside at The Alley, that's up to you.
If you have small children, The Alley outside the restaurant (same menu) is a great place to eat and let your kids get the wiggles out on the lawn.
The restaurant has all the typical items that please a kiddo's palate (burgers, chicken tenders, mac and cheese, pasta, quesadillas, pizza etc.) and makes parents happy with their choices (burgers, salads, pizzas, sushi, fried rice, etc.) It's a win-win for families. And it's also a good spot for sports fans to catch a game. My husband loves to pop in to see his favorite teams play.
It's usually available for walk-ups, which also works well for families who suddenly find themselves hangry but with no plans.
Snacks & Desserts
These are not all the desserts and snacks, but they do represent our froggy favorites.
Salt & Straw
There are two main spots to get frozen treats: Black Tap shakes or ice cream at Salt & Straw.
The shakes at Black Tap are fun, with wild toppings. Salt & Straw is a small business ice cream shop (from Portland) that uses local ingredients to make really creative, small-batch flavors you've probably had before. There are rotating monthly flavors that adventurous foodies look forward to, and then there are some classic Salt & Straw flavors, which are also quite lovely.
We even love the vegan options, and we are not vegan, but their vegan flavors are that good!
Beignets
You don't have to go into the park to get fresh New Orleans beignets. Beignets Express sells classic powdered sugar, glazed and seasonal flavors, along with dipping sauces.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets
Marceline's Confectionery got a glow-up and an expansion, making the candy shop a bigger treat and edible souvenir destination. Get some unique snacks found only there, as well as your typical Disneyland favorites, such as caramel apples and crispy treats. Plus, this location makes fresh Werther's caramel corn on-site! You can take your treats to enjoy later or eat them right away.
I always grab a caramel apple and some Werther's caramel corn to enjoy at home. It's like bringing some Disney magic home with me!
