The real trick (and treat!) to get through Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood is to do it with a devilishly good drink in hand. From dangerously delicious drinks inspired by your favorite slashers to quick sips and themed bars, here are the best drinks at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood in 2025.

Drinks With Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Dia de los Muertos bar Don Julio Margarita

Alcohol in the Upper Lot

The Upper Lot has a few of our favorite drinks at Halloween Horror Nights and our favorite spots to sit and enjoy them. And the great news is, some of these spots are open all year long!

Hog's Head

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Hogs Head

Let's kick it off with our favorite place to grab a beer in Universal Studios Hollywood. Hog's Head is a little old English pub tucked away in the corner of the Three Broomsticks in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In our opinion, this spot is the shining jewel of Hogsmeade Village. It's quiet, peaceful and comes with so much seating. There are tables inside (with air-conditioning) and outside (with spectacular views of Hogwarts castle!). And during Halloween Horror Nights, it's a great place to take a break from the scares.

Hog's Head serves primarily beer. We love the Dragon Scale, which is made specifically for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's an amber lager with sweet aromas, hops and so much flavor. The Daisyroot Ale (blonde) is also a Wizarding World specialty and a favorite in our frog family. We recently tried the Dark Forrest Ale (English Brown) and were surprised to learn that it is, in fact, also a beer made specifically for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Grab a Guinness or black and tan for the classic English Pub experience. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Spiced Mead!

Universal Plaza

Right in the center of the Upper Lot, you'll find the perfect place to grab a themed drink. The Universal Plaza is transformed into the Little Cocina for Halloween Horror Nights. The Dia de los Muertos themed area consists of three booths: a food stand, drink stand and an authentic margarita bar. We can't recommend taking a stop at the Don Julio Margarita Bar enough!

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Don Julio margarita from Don Julio Margarita Bar

The Don Julio margarita costs a pretty penny ($25) but packs a serious punch that you won't get from any other cocktails at Universal Studios Hollywood. We deem it well worth the cost. And it isn't as boozy tasting as you'd assume. The Pepino Margarita (Astral tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave and sparkling cucumber) and the Spicy Jalapeño Margarita (Astral tequila, jalapeño, lime juice and agave) are a little more classic and cost a lot less.

The frozen margaritas are also frogtastic. The Familia Frozen Strawberry Margarita ($25) is made with Don Julio, with an extra shot of Don Julio on top, dried strawberries and a chamoy and Tajin rim. You can also choose between classic strawberry, lime and mango, which are made with Astral tequila, for less. But if you do choose one of the classic frozen margaritas, we suggest adding on an extra shot of Don Julio (+$8)!

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Drinks from Dia de los Muertos Bar

The Dia de los Muertos Bar serves up themed cocktails. The Drowned Bride (Citrus vodka, blue curaçao, vanilla and lemonade with lemon popping boba pearls) and La Muelona Margarita (tequila, cherry, lime juice and agave with a red sugar rim and maraschino cherries) are sweeter and less boozy. La Siguanaba Gin Mule (gin, blue curaçao, dessert pear, blood orange and ginger beer with a black sugar rim and black licorice) is a little less sweet, and so perfectly Halloween-themed. You'll also have the option of a few draft beers and a mango michelada.

There are picnic tables in the area and, if you can grab one, the ambiance is so fun and lively. There are Dia de los Muertos characters walking around, paid carnival games to play and you might even see Art the Clown roaming the area! Plus, you're in the center of the action for the whole event. Its location makes the Universal Plaza a great place to stop, take a rest and have a drink.

Chucky's DIvE Bar

If you're brave enough to belly up to Chucky's DIvE Bar, don't be surprised if the drinks aren't the only thing with a little bite. It's campy, creepy and the perfect place to toast to your survival … for now. There are a few tables and standing high tops. We like to grab drinks at Chucky's and head into the "Purge: Dangerous Waters" show next door to enjoy them!

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Chucky's DIvE Bar drinks

Chucky's drinks are as playful as he is! Strange concoctions such as Playtime's Over (tequila, watermelon puree, habanero, lime juice and agave with a chamoy and Tajin rim, topped with chamoy gummy bears) and Friend Till The End (vodka, blue curaçao, lemon juice, simple syrup and Sprite, with orange boba popping pearls and topped with cotton candy) are so fun to try! We won't lie to you – these drinks are on the sweeter side. If you're looking for something a little less sweet, try The Charles Lee Ray (bourbon, fire whisky, pumpkin puree and ginger ale, topped with dehydrated mangos).

Moe's Tavern

For a break from the frights, duck into Moe’s Tavern. At the iconic Springfield watering hole, there's more than just beer! Fancy a Duff, a Duff Lite or a Long Island Iced Tea? Moe's got you covered! There are a few other cocktails, wines and beers to choose from, but we can't help but reach for the Duff.

Duff Brewery Beer Garden

The Duff Brewery Beer Garden across the way from Moe's has most of the same drinks. The lines tend to be a little longer over here, but we love to stop by for a Dufftoberfest! There are tables to sit at, both on the side and in the back of the beer garden. They do tend to fill up pretty quickly, but most guests don't mind sharing if you ask politely!

Hop tip: The same beers are also offered at Bumblebee Man's Tacos with a much shorter wait! Grab some carne asada nachos and a Dufftoberfest for a quick, fun and easy meal. Check out our guide to sips and snacks at HHN Hollywood for all your spooky food options at the event!

Carts and Kiosks

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Domestic and Craft beer from drink cart in Upper Lot

It's no surprise that the lines can get scary long for some of the themed bars and restaurants. It might, however, be a surprise to know that we actually choose to grab a beer from one of the carts for reasons other than the shorter lines! The selection of beer varies throughout the park. And the cart right across from Chucky's DIvE Bar has some of our favorite on-the-go choices with almost never a wait. The Head in the Clouds Double IPA packs a serious punch with a sweet finish.

Alcohol in the Lower Lot

We think of the Lower Lot joints as more of grab-and-go locations. There is less seating in the Lower Lot in general, as the area is more compact. We always appreciate having a drink in hand while taking on some of the longer queues for haunted houses, and the Lower Lot holds some of the longest waits. Here's our expert opinion on what to grab and where to grab it.

Isla Nu-Bar

Isla Nu-Bar is proof that even dinosaurs know how to party! This tiki-style hideaway serves up dangerously delicious cocktails that might just have you roaring louder than a T-Rex. While this stop is not a break from the scares (queue Art the Clown walking around, aimlessly terrorizing guests), you can sip on your tropical drink and pretend the screams in the distance are just the soundtrack to your island vacation.

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Guests holding Blood Orange beer from Isla Nu Bar

We are especially partial to the beers at Isla Nu-Bar. The Blood Orange IPA, in particular, is so flavorful and quite strong. There are a few other beers and wines to choose from as well.

For cocktails, we like the Jurassic Water (gin, vodka, rum, tequila, raspberry liqueur, melon liquor, blue curaçao, grenadine, sweet and sour and club soda), the Spicy Jurassic Pearadise (tequila, pear nectar, Fanta orange, mango puree, and spicy agave syrup topped with mango boba) and the very strong Tiki Tai (pineapple rum, dark rum, white rum, passionfruit puree, lime juice and orgeat). You'll also find blended drinks, such as a specialty Piña Colada and Bahama Mama.

SLASH Bar

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - SLASH bar

This pop-up bar on top of Jurassic Cafe switches its theming every year. Our favorite is when it's transformed into The Weeknd Bar (the music and overall ambiance are unbeatable). But in 2025, we have a brand-new bar, inspired by SLASH! The legendary guitarist from Guns 'n' Roses has made his mark on Halloween Horror Nights by composing music for countless haunted houses. I'd be remiss if I didn't note that his 2025 house, Scarecrow, is (in our opinion) the scariest and most fun house of the whole event this year!

The scores for the houses he has worked on over the years play in the bar area. So rather than a party vibe, you're getting an eerie, Halloween-y, electric guitar playlist. There are a few seats up in the bar area, but we recommend taking your drink to go. There is more seating available down at Jurassic Cafe.

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - SLASH bar drinks

The cocktails include Night Train (Cutwater vodka, Cutwater spiced rum, blue curacao, lemon juice and Sprite, topped with a Cabernet Sauvignon float), The Danse of the Dead (Cutwater whiskey, blackberry syrup, lemon juice and old fashioned mix topped with a mint sprig and fresh blackberries) and Beautiful Dangerous (Cutwater Gin, Aperol, lemon juice, simple syrup, grenadine and Mediterranean tonic water with a pink sugar rim and rosemary sprig).

Grab a Michelob Ultra on draft or in the can, a Cutwater Cocktail (lime margarita or mai tai) or the Cursed Cranberry spritz, which was made specially for Halloween Horror Nights.

Jason Universe Barbecue

This pop-up food stall, inspired by this year's Jason Universe house, draws a killer line. Hop tip — it opens at 5 p.m.! If these specialty cocktails are a must for you, head to the Lower Lot early to avoid the lines.

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood- Jason Universe Barbecue drinks and hotdog

At Jason Universe Barbecue, you'll find two specialty cocktails: Mommy's Special Margarita (Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, tequila, honey and lime juice with a salted rim and lime wheel) and Pam's Punch (Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, white rum, black cherry syrup and lemon juice topped with a dehydrated apple chip). You'll also find Angry Orchard, White Claw and the Cursed Cranberry.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place (Studio Cafe)

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood- Five Nights at Freddy's cupcake

The Five Nights at Freddy's themed quick-service stop is the most grab-and-go you can get! You pick up your own beer can and head to the cashier. We love this for two reasons: less wait time and less costly. You'll find an array of domestic tall can beers, hard seltzers, wines, Cutwaters and canned cocktails. Not to mention the cutest cupcake, straight from the Five Nights franchise!

Alcohol in CityWalk

Start your adventure before you enter the park in CityWalk! There are a few restaurants to grab some food and a drink at before heading in for Halloween Horror Nights. We like to get food beforehand instead of worrying about using valuable HHN time on food lines. And a little liquid courage before the night begins goes a long way!

Antojitos Cocina Mexicana

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - Antojitos

Antojitos Cocina is our go-to for pre-HHN food and drinks. There can sometimes be a bit of a wait for a table, but there are usually bar seats available. There is a large selection of mixed drinks, beers and wines. Plus, there is a special drink just for Halloween Horror Nights. The Pumpkin Horchata consists of rum, coffee liqueur and horchata (ground rice milk and cinnamon), topped with cinnamon and whipped pumpkin spice foam. If you need a food recommendation, try the nachos to share! So good, so filling and so much food.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen

Toothsome is known for its chocolate creations. But it's also a great place to stop in for some beverages. And the best part is – there's also a happy hour menu! And it's conveniently from 2-6 p.m., right before Halloween Horror Nights begins. The happy hour menu includes a Chocolate Coconut Martini (whipped cream vodka, coconut rum, cream and chocolate syrup), a Spiked Root Beer Float (whipped cream vodka, root beer schnapps, cream and cola) and (my favorite) a Lemon Drop Martini (Citrus vodka, triple sec, simple syrup and lemon juice), all for only $11! Domestic beers and wines are also included. The regular menu holds some of the most creative and mouthwatering cocktails, all centered around a major sweet tooth!

NBC Sports Grill & Brew

Where To Find the Best Drinks with Alcohol at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood - NBC Sports Grill & Brew beer at bar

NBC Sports Grill & Brew certainly doesn't provide spooky, Halloween vibes. But it does have a great bar top, a good selection of drinks and great food. It also has its own drink for Halloween Horror Nights. Swamp Water is made with a tequila cocktail featuring citrus liqueur, curacao, lemon juice, simple syrup, raspberry liqueur and a lime wedge.

The truth is, no matter where you end up to grab a drink, you're in the right spot. Our hop tip is to follow the shortest lines! Maximizing your time at Halloween Horror Nights is essential. And taking a drink with you in line is a great way to do so! Whether you're looking for a quick sip or an intricately-themed cocktail, you'll find it in the Upper Lot, Lower Lot and in CityWalk.
