Frightfully fun news! Disneyland just announced the return dates for both Halloween Time and Oogie Boogie Bash!
Beginning Sept. 1, 2023, Disneyland Resort will make its spooky season transformation, with pumpkin spice and everything nice, spooky special ride overlays, eerily enchanting entertainment and so much more! And this year, Oogie Boogie Bash is back on more nights than ever — 25 opportunities to trick-or-treat in Disney California Adventure Park! Let's jump into the details!
Disneyland Halloween Time (Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, 2023)
All across Disneyland Resort, you'll find decorations, foodie finds and merchandise to ring in the season, from jack-o-lanterns on Main Street, U.S.A., to the oversized Oogie Boogie welcoming you into Disney California Adventure Park. Plus, Mickey and friends get into the spirit of the season with all-new costumes — in both parks!
At Disneyland Park, Jack Skellington will once again "wreck" the halls of the Haunted Mansion, mashing Halloween and the holidays once more in Haunted Mansion Holiday. Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular will also return to Disneyland Park; Aug. 31 marks the last performance of the year for Wondrous Journeys, Disneyland's 100th-anniversary nighttime spectacular.
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Cars Land and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters sport spooky soundtracks during their transformation into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin' Haul-O-Ween. New for 2023, Guido will don a “car-stume” as he welcomes guests to the Casa Della Tires.
It's time to save Groot ... after dark! Beginning late afternoon, guests can hop on Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark to help rescue Groot from, well, monsters that have escaped the Collector's Fortress, all set to a metal soundtrack.
And our favorite part: Disneyland Halloween Time is included with your Disneyland Resort admission!
From Sept. 1 through Nov. 2, Plaza de la Familia and tributes to Día de los Muertos will be available around Disneyland Resort, as well. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, this includes “A Musical Celebration of Coco” with Folklórico dancers, Mariachi singers and musicians that retell Miguel’s adventure to the Land of the Dead. You can also meet Miguel, add notes to the Memory Wall and more. Over in Cars Land, Ramone will have an ofrenda at his detailing shop celebrating his friend, Doc Hudson. And Disneyland Park will pay tribute to Día de los Muertos with its traditional Frontierland display, with marigolds and papel picado.
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event that will take over Disney California Adventure Park on select nights from Sept. 5 to Oct. 31, 2023. You'll encounter villains, special entertainment and, of course, load up on candy! Costumes are permitted (and encouraged). Admission to the after-hours event also includes entrance to Disney California Adventure Park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.

Magic Key holders will have a pre-sale opportunity to snag tickets June 27 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT). Tickets will go on sale to the general public June 29 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT).
