The Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort is getting a major upgrade. We've seen a few new shops and restaurants such as Din Tai Fung and Paseo open in 2024, and we're expecting even more in 2025! Parkside Market is Downtown Disney's newest addition and maybe one of the most exciting new dining experiences. Not only does this two-story conglomerate building offer some great quick-service foods and coffee, but a fantastic place to enjoy in more than one way! Keep reading for all you need to know about the new eateries, bar and overall experience within this frogtastic new building, which is now open as of Jan. 5, 2025.

Overview of Parkside Market

Location

Parkside Market is located in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. It is free for anybody to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere of Downtown Disney, and a park ticket and reservation are not needed. It does, however, cost you money to park your vehicle in the connected parking lot.

Downtown Disney is located off Disneyland Drive between all the Disneyland on-site hotels. You can access the parking lot just north of Disney's Pixar Place Hotel. For visiting frogs looking for an actual address to plan with, you can find Downtown Disney at 1580 Disneyland Dr. Anaheim, CA 92802.

You may reach Downtown Disney via its Simba Lot (near Disney's Pixar Place hotel) or the theme park shuttles that run from the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures or Toy Story lot. And if you are staying off Harbor Blvd., just go through security as you would to enter Disneyland, and continue straight past the theme park entrances to enter Downtown Disney.

Parking at Downtown Disney

If visiting only Downtown Disney and staying off-site, you can use the short-term Simba parking lot near Pixar Place Hotel. But be sure to bring your ticket, validate it and pay at the Self Pay stations before returning to your car!

Here are the new Downtown Disney District parking prices:

  • The first hour of parking costs $10.
  • Validations apply after the first hour of paid parking.
  • Enjoy an additional 3 hours of same-day parking with a $20 minimum purchase and validation from any Downtown Disney location — or up to 5 additional hours of same-day parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant.
  • Beyond these validations, each additional hour costs $14, charged in 30-minute increments, with a minimum of $7.
  • The maximum daily parking and lost ticket fee is $66. Hop tip: Don't lose your ticket!
  • Parking is subject to capacity.
  • The hotel restaurants do not validate parking.
  • Magic Keys do not have parking benefits at Downtown Disney.

If you are planning a lengthy visit to Downtown Disney or will be visiting the theme parks, you should park in the Pixar Pals or Mickey and Friends parking structure or other Disney lots for $35 per day. From the Mickey and Friends or Pixar Pals parking structure, you can walk or take a parking tram.

Reservations

Grab a Seat at Downtown Disney's New Parkside Market! - upstairs seating

There are no reservations required in order to enjoy any of Parkside Market's offerings. Seating on both levels of the building is first come, first served. On the first floor, you will find cafeteria-style tables. You can order your food from one of the three eateries and find a table. Your food will be dropped off for you at your table. Simply take the buzzer you are given and place it at the center of your table after ordering. You can also opt to go upstairs and find a table there. While sitting upstairs, you will be checked on by a server and have the opportunity to order a drink from the bar if over the age of 21.

Vista Parkside Market

Above the unassuming quick-service-style seating downstairs is the most beautiful center bar. With an elevated coastal vibe and full floor-to-ceiling window doors (that completely open up across the whole right wall!), there is no shortage of classic Southern California sunshine. Seating ranges from bar-top and high-top tables, to booths and low-top tables.

There is an impressive list of signature cocktails to choose from. We tried the espresso martini and fell in love. One of the notable and most Instagramable drinks is The Flamboyance Frosé. The Flamboyance (which is what a group of flamingos is called) is available with alcohol or as a nonalcoholic frozen drink served in the cutest flamingo-shaped glass. But the flamingo glass is only available while sitting at the bar. There are a few beers on tap and in bottles, as well as an assortment of wines by the glass and shareable sangrias by the liter.

Two balcony patios with seating allow you to sit al fresco and enjoy your food and drinks. One faces the Monorail station while the other faces the Disneyland Hotel. The latter is directly over the new lawn area and offers views of the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage. It's the perfect place to sit and have a drink and listen to some live music after a long day in the parks.

Whether you sit at the bar or at any of the tables on the upper floor, you have the option of ordering from a server or ordering your food downstairs and bringing your buzzer up to your table. All of the food and drink offered downstairs is available to be ordered from a bartender or server upstairs.

Seoul Sister

Rice bowls are a healthy, protein-packed and filling dish that tastes so good! At Seoul Sister, you'll find exactly that. Based on the Korean bibimbap dish with a California twist, executive Chef Kelly Kim brings bold Korean flavors to the table. Each bowl contains marinated protein and vegetables, savory sauces and your choice of rice, noodles or salad. Not to mention all of the yummy appetizers and hand-crafted drinks!

We tried the two beef bowls and the fried beef and vegetable dumplings. The Beef & Egg bowl consists of bulgogi beef, carrots, kale, egg, sesame oil and spicy Gochu Seoul sauce. The Beef bowl is bulgogi beef, kimchi, green onions and garlic soy sauce. Everything we ate was light and packed with flavor.

Downstairs, you can watch your order come together over the counter and modify it to your needs. There is a standing line to order and you are given a buzzer which you can bring with you to a table or wait to grab your food to-go. All food is placed in a to-go container regardless of where or whether you choose to sit, so you can wait for your food to take with you if you don't want to sit inside. This is a great option for taking food back to your hotel or into the parks with you.

GG's Chicken Shop

Grab a Seat at Downtown Disney's New Parkside Market!- GGs chicken

From Chicago to Anaheim comes the new GG's Chicken Shop! Named after Michelin Star Chef Partner Lee Wolen's mother Geri, the shop serves up chicken sandwiches and those classic dinner sides. And the chicken is out of this world good. Just like with Seoul Sister, this is a quick-service counter location.

Whether you're looking for a classic fried chicken sandwich with pickles and hot honey, or something more adventurous such as garlic ranch or soy cucumbers and kewpie mayo, GG's has got you covered. There are two salads to choose from with the option of adding fried or grilled chicken. Without the protein addition, both salads are great vegetarian options. Note that the sandwiches do not come with a side. But there are some awesome sides such as chili-lime Brussels sprouts and waffle fries to add on!

Sip & Sonder

Recognized as one of the best cafes in L.A. by the Los Angeles Times, this Black woman-owned coffee shop is an exciting addition to the Parkside Market roundup. There are all kinds of espressos, cortados, cappuccinos, americanos and lattes to choose from. There are also drinks on tap such as cold brew and an iced oat milk latte. You'll find matcha and chai lattes as well as a lavender tea latte. The specialty drinks include a vanilla charcoal latte, a vanilla dirty chai latte, a honey lavender latte and a lavender mocha latte. If you can't decide which one to get, you can grab a flight of all four specialties!

Between 7 - 11 a.m., you'll find a few breakfast food items such as a bacon, egg and cheese or a vegan sausage sandwich. You can grab a cinnamon roll or a cake pop at any time of the day. We tried the blueberry cinnamon roll but have our eyes on the cookies and cream cinnamon roll next!

We predict the Sip & Sonder counter is going to be one of the most popular spots in the morning for hotel guests who are passing through to the parks and need their caffeine and morning bite. Our hot tip to skip the line is to go sit upstairs and order your coffee with a server. When it's ready, it will be brought up to you to enjoy while relaxing or to take on the go.
