Parking at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Ample free parking is available on-site, ensuring a hassle-free experience for concertgoers. Attendees may sometimes leave their cars parked until 10 a.m. the day after the event. Parking lots at Red Rocks open approximately two hours before the event start time. However, if you choose to park along the road, there are no time limits for parking. In this case, parking further down the road facing downhill is recommended to avoid traffic leaving the parking lot. It’s important to note that parking on the road will require a much further walk to the venue.
Parking is divided into five main lots: two Lower South Lots, one Lower North Lot, one Upper South Lot and an Upper North Lot. The Upper South Lot accommodates those requiring Accessible Shuttle seating in rows 1-36. Those who require the use of a wheelchair must present a Row 1 ticket to gain access to the shuttle. This lot also allows for easy access to Interstate 470 and makes for a quick exit from the venue. The Top Circle Lot is for seating in rows 37-70. Keep in mind that the road leading to this lot turns into a one-way street at the end of the show.
If you’re using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft, you’ll be dropped off at either the Upper South Lot, Top Circle Lot or Trading Post. Pick-up is usually at Trading Post Road South.
Seating at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
With a seating capacity of over 9,000 people, Red Rocks offers a variety of general admission seating options to accommodate different preferences and budgets. Because of its dome-like shape, the venue’s seating offers unique views and impressive acoustics from almost every angle. Additionally, large television screens allow for a solid view anywhere one chooses to sit.
The lowest section closest to the floor may be a little tight during crowded events but may become more spacious once everyone gets up to dance.
Within the first 10-15 rows, it is best to sit closer to the center as some seats on the edges can extend beyond the stage and have obstructed views. From rows 25-40, attendees can catch a more scenic view, overlooking the city lights and surrounding natural landscapes. Any level higher than that may be too far to enjoy a performance. Keep in mind, that on windy nights, the sound quality can also diminish in higher sections.
