Royal Caribbean is going BIG (again) with the announcement of Hero of the Seas, the fourth ship in its Icon Class and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most immersive and family-friendly ships at sea.
Set to debut from Miami in August 2027, Hero of the Seas will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, including a stop at Royal Caribbean’s popular private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. But it’s what’s onboard that’s getting all the attention!
This new ship is designed for families with eight different neighborhoods, nine pools and a record-breaking 28 dining venues. There will be new experiences onboard, such as family raft slides and hands-on cooking classes for all ages, making it feel more like a floating city-meets-resort than a traditional cruise.
One of the biggest highlights, making a major buzz, is the Royal Caribbean Treehouse Suite.
Officially titled the Ultimate Family Treehouse, this three-level suite is anything but your typical cruise cabin. This retreat sleeps up to 12 and includes a private rooftop terrace with a whirlpool, a two-story hangout space just for teens (complete with a game room and spiral staircase) and multiple bedrooms with their own bathrooms and balconies.
Beyond the Treehouse Suite, Hero of the Seas will offer other family-friendly options with access to the Surfside neighborhood. There's also a range of suites and balcony rooms for different styles and budgets, including the Family Infinite Ocean View Balconies and Surfside Family Suites.
Bookings are now open and you can save on your cruise when you book with Undercover Tourist!
The Royal Caribbean Treehouse Suite definitely has our attention! If you’ve been waiting for a next-level family cruise, this one is hard to beat. Counting down to the Hero of the Seas' maiden voyage? Let us know in the comments below!
