We get a lot of questions about this, especially from people looking for Power-Up Bands before they go to Early Access. The good news is that there are several shops around the park and in CityWalk for you to buy your Super Nintendo World Hollywood merchandise. You do not even need a theme park ticket to get the goods. In fact, you do not even need to enter Super Nintendo World itself. None of the merchandise (except for items that come with select foods at Toadstool Café) is exclusive to the actual land. Here's where to locate merchandise and what kinds of items you can expect to find.
Places to Purchase Super Nintendo World Merchandise
Here are the places to purchase Super Nintendo World merchandise in Hollywood. Keep in mind you can also look up shopping locations in the Universal Studios Hollywood app. Go to the map and select "Shopping" at the top to find shops and their exact locations. You do not want to feel pressure or stress when making your decisions on what to buy, so we'll share some tips on finding the least crowded shopping locations as well. 1-UP Factory — Super Nintendo World
There is one store located inside Super Nintendo World, and you may be surprised to learn that it does not sell everything. You can find even more merchandise at other shops. Plus, The 1-UP Factory is likely the most crowded place to shop for Super Nintendo World merchandise. The Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge ride exits into the shop, so there is always a stream of people coming through, many of whom stop to shop. Power-Up Bands are behind the counter. You can also get the popcorn buckets and sippers here.
Power-Up Band Kiosk — Super Nintendo World
Also in Super Nintendo World is a spot to purchase Power-Up Bands from a machine. Do you need a band and don't want to wait too long? You can get what you need without entering a store. It helps to know what team band you want before you purchase.
Toadstool Cafe — Super Nintendo World
You may not think of a restaurant as a shopping location, but some popular Super Nintendo World souvenir items are the sippers, plates and lidded mushroom bowls that come with select dishes. You can take them home for everyday use!
Some food items come with free small items the kids can take home such as flags, mini Mario figures, and mini Mario or Luigi caps.

Character Shop — Lower Lot
Just outside Super Nintendo World in the Lower Lot is one of the least crowded spots to peruse exclusive Super Nintendo World Hollywood merchandise. It's located behind the stand that sells Super Nintendo World-flavored sodas and popcorn buckets. You'll spot it straight ahead as you exit the Star Way escalators. We have hopped in to purchase Power-Up Bands on our way to Super Nintendo World for Early Access. Purchasing was super fast and we were done buying, setting up and were ready to go in no time. This store sells collectibles, apparel, Power-Up Bands (behind the counter) and souvenirs. Plus, the quieter store means the team members have more time to help you out if you are looking for anything in particular.
Universal Studio Store — Upper Lot
This large souvenir store sells everything Universal Studios and other popular themes in the park from "The Simpsons" to "Jurassic World" to movies. It has plenty of Super Nintendo World merchandise, including all the popular plush Super Nintendo character headwear and themed headbands. It is open early, and it's one of the last shops you'll pass when leaving the park.
Feature Presentation Store — Upper Lot
This Upper Lot store is on the right after you enter the park. You can shop for Power-Up Bands, exclusive apparel and collectibles at this Super Nintendo merchandise shop. If you want to get hats or other items before you enter Super Nintendo World, this is a good place to shop. It opens early so you can get your Power-Up Bands for Early Access.
Super Nintendo World Store — CityWalk
In CityWalk, a few doors down from the Universal Studio Store is this shop that sells only Super Nintendo World merchandise. You do not need a park ticket to shop here or at any of the stores in CityWalk. If you hoppen to be staying nearby and are visiting CityWalk the night before your visit, hop by. You can get your Power-Up Bands and link them ahead of time. You can also purchase any apparel you want to wear in the land before you visit the next day. Or if you suddenly decide you need an item after you've left the park, this is the place to go.
Types of Super Nintendo World Hollywood Merchandise
Here are the types of Super Nintendo World Hollywood merchandise you can find at Universal Studios. The merchandise and availability may change over time. The selection differs from items you might find at Super Nintendo World in Japan. Discounts do not apply to Power-Up Bands.
Power-Up Bands
If you want to play games in Super Nintendo World, you'll want a Power-Up Band. It's a type of RFID technology you wear on your wrist to punch bricks to collect coins and complete challenges to collect keys. While you do not need to have a Power-Up Band, if you want to fully enjoy the land and play all the games, you'll definitely want one. You need at least one band in your party to unlock and activate any games and challenges or punch blocks to collect coins.
Apparel
If you want shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and white gloves, you can find them in all the themed shops.
Plushes and Figures
You can take Mario, Luigi, Toad and Yoshi home to snuggle or display all you like. Or you could even hug a stuffed Piranha Plant or Bob-omb.
Popcorn Buckets and Sippers
You can get your popcorn buckets and sippers in the shops and dining locations. Toadstool Cafe has Super Mushroom and 1-Up Mushroom sippers. The Super Nintendo World Popcorn and Drink Cart in the Lower Lot also sell the sippers and Mario Kart or Star-themed popcorn buckets (and themed straws).
Hats, Headbands and Plush Head Coverings
Are you Team Mario or Team Luigi? Show off support for your team, whether you choose caps, baseball hats or headbands with Mario or Luigi on your head.
Other plush head coverings feature Bowser, Yoshi, Toad and Goomba or you can buy Mario and Luigi caps. You can purchase headbands with Toad, Boos, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Mario or Luigi featured on them.
Collectibles and Other Items
You can find mugs, tumblers, lanyards, pillows, blankets ... you name it!
If you are heading to Super Nintendo World Hollywood, you can set aside some extra souvenir money by saving up to $130 with discount tickets from Undercover Tourist.
