All About SZA and the "SOS Tour"
Since co-writing "Feeling Myself" with Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé in 2014, being featured on Maroon 5's "What Lovers Do" in 2017 and collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on "All the Stars" for the "Black Panther" soundtrack in 2018, SZA has been a force to be reckoned with in the worlds of R&B, pop and hip-hop. In 2021, her collaboration with Doja Cat, "Kiss Me More," peaked at number one on Amazon Music's Best Songs of 2021 and won her an American Music Award and Billboard Music Award, among many others. In 2023, her single "Kill Bill" went to number one in seven territories worldwide and won her a BET Award for Video of the Year.
SZA's second concert tour, "SOS," commenced with sold-out shows in 17 cities across North America. The tour is in support of her sophomore album which earned her the record for the largest streaming week for an R&B album in the United States. It also claimed 10 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 chart — the most among albums by women in seven years! So far, her unforgettable performances on the road have included classics such as "Love Galore" and "The Weekend," in addition to newer mega-hits such as "Shirt" and, of course, "Kill Bill."
Opening Acts for SZA's "SOS Tour"
For her highly anticipated return to North America, SZA is bringing along alternative and indie singer-songwriter, d4vd, to open up for her. His singles "Romantic Homicide" and "Here With Me" both experienced international success on the charts and are certified gold by the RIAA and ARIA, respectively. (Not bad for someone who began making music to avoid copyright strikes on his Fortnite montage videos!)
That's not all, though. On the first leg of her tour, SZA brought out a number of surprise special guests to join her, including Summer Walker, Phoebe Bridgers, Cardi B and Lizzo! Who knows who else she has planned as she wraps up her intentional jaunt ...
