Universal Destinations & Experiences kicked off 2023 with a frighteningly exciting announcement! Known for its popular Halloween Horror Nights events at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, the themed entertainment company is introducing a brand-new, year-round experience in Las Vegas, Nevada — Universal Horror Unleashed. Opening in 2025, the new addition marks the first time that Universal has created a permanent horror experience beyond its theme parks.
Universal Horror Unleashed is the anchor tenant in the 20-acre expansion of AREA 15, an immersive entertainment district in Last Vegas. Within its 110,000 square-foot area, the new experience will encompass and embrace the entirety of the horror genre using the creativity and innovation of the creators behind the ghastly Halloween Horror Nights.
Upon opening in 2025 (to those brave enough to face their fears), Universal Horror Unleashed will bring the terrors only felt in movies to bone-chilling life with four petrifying haunted houses: Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping and Blumhouse's The Exorcist: Believer. Not for the faint of heart, these houses feature elevated moments where the horror will surround you in unimaginable ways.
(Un)fortunately, these are nightmares you can't wake up from. Surrounding the houses, four sinisterly themed and immersive areas, featuring unique live entertainment experiences, will tempt your deepest desires. In select locations, guests can enjoy eerie eateries and bars featuring horror-centric food and drink offerings. Plus, expect a continuously updated experience with must-see seasonal events and one-of-a-kind merchandise.
