Of course, I can't froget to mention the Tribute Store in Universal Studios! From cookie balls and macarons to whoopie pies and s'mores, the snack case is filled with sinfully sweet treats available for purchase day and night.
Hopping over to the hotels, Swizzle Lounge over at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort also gets revamped for the Halloween season. Last year, the ghastly gourds of Mr. Carver's Pumpkin Patch took over the lobby bar — with Lil' Boo keeping a watchful eye on his fruity friends! The festively decorated lounge serves Halloween-themed specialty drinks, whether you're just visiting for the day or staying the night.
This year, Universal's Endless Summer Resort — Dockside Inn and Suites is also getting in on the fun! Frogs can drink in the spirit of the season at the Spooky Sunset Lounge, a tropical hideaway featuring pineapple jack-o-lanterns and Halloween-themed drinks.
But that's not all! Halloween-themed cocktails will also be available at all eight of Universal Orlando's hotels at select locations.
Can I bring in food to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando?
While Universal Orlando allows small snacks that don't require heating to be brought into the parks during the day, that's not the case for Halloween Horror Nights. Outside food cannot be brought in. The sole exception is for frogs with dietary needs. You'll need to partner with security upon arrival to authorize the food you want to bring in.
As for drinks, no beverages are allowed — including bottled water. Empty refillable bottles are permitted and can be filled with water at any water fountain or Coca-Cola Freestyle machine around the park. Orlando is still pretty hot in September and October. Remember to stay hydrated!
What tips do you have for eating at Halloween Horror Nights Orlando?
Whether you stop at a restaurant in CityWalk or want to try an eerie event-exclusive entree in the park, plan on eating early. Food lines get significantly longer as the night goes on. It's a great way to maximize your time at Halloween Horror Nights! It's also important to note that food locations close at 1:30 a.m. so, if you're feeling hungry, be sure to grab one last bite before hitting your final house or two.
Can I taste any of the event-exclusive items prior to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando?
I'm so glad you asked, friend! Universal Orlando conjured up a brand new experience at Universal Studios that allowed curious frogs to enjoy a preview of select event-exclusive food and drinks items before Halloween Horror Nights starts. The Taste of Terror event took place on select nights from Aug. 10 to 26 and ran from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Frogs of all ages were able to sample tasting size portions of food and non-alcoholic beverage items and also got to take home a Halloween Horror Nights Coca-Cola Freestyle cup (separate fee applies to activate) and one digital download of one photo taken at the Taste of Terror event. Frogs 21 and up also got to try alcoholic beverages included via a hosted bar (with valid photo ID) and got to go home with one souvenir Halloween Horror Nights light-up cup.
Tickets for this event were available for purchase on the Universal Orlando website. Separate theme park admission was required and must have been valid for the same calendar day and to the same theme park as the Taste of Terror ticket.
