Universal Orlando Moves to Date-Based Ticket Pricing

Ribbeting news! As of Aug. 18, 2020, Universal Orlando has moved to date-based pricing for its regular theme park tickets. As an authorized retailer, Undercover Tourist is here to save you some green on these new tickets!

Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket at Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Date-Based TicketsTickets are available for one, two, three, four and five days. To maximize savings, simply select your start date to see pricing. You have the option of selecting base tickets, which allow you to visit one park per day, or park-to-park tickets, which allow you to hop between both Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure on the same day. Park-to-park tickets are required to ride the Hogwarts Express. You can add on Universal's Volcano Bay water park to either base tickets or park-to-park tickets for more splish-splashing fun!

Generally, the more days you visit the parks, the more money you save! For example, a one-day adult base ticket is currently $148.04 with tax. A five-day base ticket is $289.91, which works out to $57.98 a day!

If you want to maximize flexibility, you can select flex tickets and go any time! The flex tickets do not have a start date (and are priced at the highest rate of a date-based ticket). Flex tickets are valid for one year from order date or six days after activation. Our tickets are refundable one year from the date of purchase.

Curious to know.... if I buy a flexible ticket and plan to go during a popular time of year, for example, let's say July 3rd or 4th - is it possible that the park could sell out of date-specific tickets online before I even have a chance to use my flexible ticket on those particular days? Does that make sense? Thank you!

Hi Harli!

Universal is only selling date-based tickets currently, but there are still a few flex tickets floating around out there - even if a day sells out of tickets in advance, Universal still takes non-date based ticket holders, such as passholders and flexible ticket holders, into account in a day's capacity, so you won't automatically be out of luck. Limiting the amount of tickets sold is the first step in limiting capacity, but it's not the only one. The parks themselves have capacity limits to help mitigate this, so the best way to make sure you get in on a busy day such as Fourth of July is to arrive early. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the valuable info! Question about your tickets in general--I see that your Universal Orlando tickets are refundable one year from date of purchase. Is the same true of park tickets that you sell for Walt Disney World?

Hi Kate!

Refund policies vary from ticket to ticket, and by delivery mode, but you can always find a particular ticket's refund policy in its details! (Most of our Disney World mailed tickets offer a 90-day Return Policy.) You can see all of our Walt Disney World tickets here; once you click on a particular ticket, the information will expand to show you more information about expiration and refund policies for that particular item. Or, feel free to reach out to us at 1 (800) 846-1302 - we're hoppy to help!

Hi there! We already bought tickets from you all awhile ago. Are regular tickets bought before the whole reserve-your-day tickets came about still good to go? Or do we need to exchange them or something? Going in October and first week in December so hoping crowds aren’t too busy! Thanks so much and we love your site!!

Hi Heather!

Yes, tickets purchased previously will still be valid - no need to exchange! (Keep in mind that tickets will still be subject to the conditions that were in place when you purchased, such as blackout dates and expiration dates.) If you have any additional questions, feel free to give us a ring at 1 (800) 846-1302!
