I can't stop the feeling ... that summer 2024 will be a season to remember! Universal Orlando Resort has revealed brand-new offerings that will kick off in June, including the opening of the highly-anticipated DreamWorks Land and exciting entertainment. We're so frogcited about a new Hogwarts Castle show, nighttime spectacular (drones over the lagoon?!) and daytime parade!
Here's everything that's hoppening this summer at Universal Orlando Resort:
- DreamWorks Land — debuting June 14, 2024 — Your favorite DreamWorks Animation characters have found a new home at Universal Studios Florida. This family-friendly land (replacing the former Woody Woodpecker's KidZone area) will feature interactive play areas, character meet-and-greets, a live show experience, themed treats, merchandise and more! - CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular — debuting June 14, 2024 — This all-new nighttime lagoon show at Universal Studios Florida celebrates iconic scores and scenes from Universal's blockbuster films, including "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts" series, "Jurassic World," "Jaws," "Shrek," "Ghostbusters," "Trolls," "Back to the Future," "Universal Monsters," "Transformers," "How to Train Your Dragon," "E.T.," "Fast and Furious," "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," "Minions," "The Mummy" and "King Kong." Using the latest technology and special effects, CineSational will combine the power of 288 fountains (reaching up to 131 feet), 4K projection mapping, an original composition and more than 600 drones into one unforgettable cinematic experience.
- Hogwarts Always — debuting June 14, 2024 — On select nights, this new projection show uses Hogwarts Castle as the backdrop for a visually stunning journey through a school year at Hogwarts. From school supply shopping in Diagon Alley and riding the Hogwarts Express to participating in the Sorting Ceremony and celebrating the House Cup winner and more, the show will tug on the heartstrings of all witches, wizards and Muggles. It will feature four different endings that represent each Hogwarts house, as well as a colorful pyrotechnic display and dialogue from your favorite "Harry Potter" characters.
- Universal Mega Movie Parade — debuting July 3, 2024 — As Universal's biggest daytime parade to date, Universal Mega Movie Parade will combine 13 floats, nearly 100 performers and special effects to relive classic film moments on the streets of Universal Studios Florida. You can expect to see a 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man atop a "Ghostbusters" float, the Caterbus and giant rainbows on a "Trolls" float, a live marching drum line alongside a "Jaws" float and an epic finale with a Gyrosphere, Raptors and Tyrannosaurus Rex aboard a "Jurassic World" float (the largest figure ever made for a Universal Orlando daytime parade). Additionally, the Universal Summer Tribute Store will host themed rooms, merchandise and photo-ops inspired by the films featured in the Universal Mega Movie Parade (more details to be revealed later!).
If you can't wait until June, you can now find new specialty merchandise in the theme parks, including new original interactive bubble wands inspired by "Trolls" and "Jurassic World." These wands can interact with other wands AND select floats once the parade debuts July 3.
