Where Is Yankee Stadium Located?

Yankee Stadium is located in the Bronx borough of New York City at One East 161st Street. This state-of-the-art sports arena proudly stands one block away from the site of its predecessor, the legendary old Yankee Stadium, which was constructed in 1923 and served as the home field of some of baseball’s most famous players. The new Yankee Stadium, which opened in 2009, is a sight to behold with its modern architecture and stunning views of the Manhattan skyline.

The stadium is conveniently located near several metro stations and bus stops, so visitors can choose the transportation option that best suits their schedule. By subway, take either the B or D train to the 161st Street — Yankee Stadium station; from there, it’s a short walk to the ballpark. Bus routes are also available, which include the Bx1, Bx2, Bx6, Bx13 and BxM4. Additionally, there is parking near the stadium if you're driving to the game.

Choosing Seats at Yankee Stadium

When attending a game at Yankee Stadium, there's a wide selection of seats to choose from. Consider sitting in sections 112-114 or 126-128 for some of the best seats in the house. There are also several special seating options, including Field MVP Boxes (which are behind home plate) and Bleacher Seats (which are in the outfield). The Field MVP Boxes are perfect for those looking for a more exclusive experience, while the Bleacher Seats offer unbeatable prices and a lively atmosphere. The Grandstand upper level is another budget-friendly option. (Psst ... did you know you find great deals and savings on New York Yankees tickets through Undercover Tourist?)

Whether it’s a pop fly that lands in the stands or an absolute moon shot that leaves the ballpark, you won’t want to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Be sure to bring a glove as you never know when one of these baseballs will come your way. And if you’re lucky enough to snag a foul ball or home run, consider it the ultimate souvenir from your time at Yankee Stadium!

Activities at Yankee Stadium

When it comes to postgame activities, Yankee Stadium has a lot of options for fans. After the game, take some time to explore Monument Park and soak in all of the Yankees’ history. Monument Park is home to plaques and statues honoring some of the greatest legends in Yankees history, including Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and Yogi Berra. You can also take a tour of the stadium itself, including the famous “House That Ruth Built” and get an up-close look at some of baseball's most iconic artifacts.

If you’d like to take a souvenir home with you after your visit, check out one of the many gift shops at Yankee Stadium. From unique apparel and memorabilia to exclusive Yankees merchandise, there’s something for everyone at the stadium.

Looking for a bite to eat before or after the game? Yankee Stadium has tons of dining options. Stop by NYY Steak for an unrivaled pre-game experience with mouthwatering entrees and signature cocktails. The Hard Rock Cafe is also worth checking out for some delicious pub favorites and rock-and-roll memorabilia. The stadium food court offers a variety of tasty options such as burgers, hot dogs and nachos for those looking to grab something on the go. There are also several concession stands located throughout the stadium serving up classic ballpark fare.

The postgame experience doesn’t end there. Yankee Stadium is located in one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods, the Bronx. After the game, take a stroll around the area and explore its many restaurants, bars, and shops. There are also several family-friendly attractions nearby, including Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden.

Whether you’re cheering on the Yankees or just sightseeing, visiting Yankee Stadium is a memorable experience for any baseball fan. With great seats, postgame activities and incredible views, make sure you take advantage of all the stadium has to offer and have an amazing time. Go Yankees!
