USS Arizona Memorial
Frog Family Rating:
Harbored in Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial is built over the remains of the sunken battleship USS Arizona, commemorating the final resting place for many of the 1,177 crewmen killed on December 7, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. The attack was one of the worst naval disasters in the country's history and led to the United States' involvement in World War II. Accessible only by boat, the memorial is visited by more than two (2) million people annually who wish to learn more about the historical events of that day and pay their respects. With stories from survivors and World War II veterans, a tour of this National Historic Landmark is a must-see.
