Frog Family Rating:
Considered New York’s first museum, the New-York Historical Society was established in 1804 to preserve accounts and artifacts of the country’s history. With an impressive art collection, a library and educational programs, this museum is a must-see stop in New York. Your admission covers entrance to tadpole-friendly DiMenna Children’s Museum on the lower levels, with immersive permanent exhibitions, a theatre and a dedicated children’s library. The facility also houses the Patricia D. Klingenstein Library, one of the oldest and most distinguished research libraries in the United States, but appointments are required to visit.
