What we love
- Laid-back, island theme makes it feel like a vacation within your Disney vacation
- Cool pastels and Victorian architecture
- Some of the largest rooms on property
- One of the most affordable Deluxe Villa Resorts on property
- Villas have water, golf course or tropical views
- Sleeps up to 12 in the 3-bedroom grand villa
- Boat service to Disney Springs® Area
- Olivia's Cafe is one of Disney's hidden gems
- The resort sits on Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
- Bike and surrey bike rentals
- Free parking!
- Offers tennis, volleyball plus old-fashioned games such as pool, foosball, and shuffleboard
Keep in Mind
- Only three buildings offer elevators to the upper-level floors
- Resort grounds are quite large; it can be a hike from some buildings to the feature pool and restaurants
- There are 5 bus stops within the resort that offer transportation to the parks
- Olivia's is the only table-service restaurant on property, although the dining at Disney Springs® Area is just a boat ride away
- In some 1-bedrooms (buildings below 30), bathrooms can only be accessed from the master bedroom
Notable Facts
- Old Key West was Disney's first vacation club property and opened in 1991
- The deluxe studios are the only ones on the property that offer 2 beds rather than a bed and a pull-out couch
- The main feature pool includes a dry sauna (inside the lighthouse)
Frog Family Tips
- Request a dual bathroom entry and near elevator, if these are important to you
- Request a villa near the pool on an upper floor for less potential noise (Miller's Road area)
- Consider renting a car for a stay here, especially if your building is further from the pool and dining
- Stop by Olivia's Cafe to see family photos from all of the Disney Vacation Club members
Best For
- Families, especially larger families wanting longer stays, who seek all the amenities of a Deluxe Villa Resort at the best price and appreciate the island life
