FROG FAMILY REVIEW
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa*
What we love
- Classic Victorian-style architecture
- Direct Access to Magic Kingdom® Park by walking path, monorail, or boat taxi
- Hands down, the most luxurious lodging options of any property
- Multiple table-service options, including the AAA Five Diamond-awarded Victoria & Albert's
- On-site character breakfast and dinner dining at 1900 Park Fare
- Beach Pool features a gently sloping entry similar to that of a natural beach, a splash area for little ones, plus steps away from Seven Seas Beach and Lagoon
- A full-service spa and health club in a Victorian-themed setting offering massages and body treatments, plus a full-service salon
- Small footprint means there are really no bad room locations, although upper floors may have less noise from foot traffic
- Free parking!
Keep in Mind
- Hotel charges $33 per night (sales tax included) for valet parking
- Proximity to Magic Kingdom® Park and world-class amenities make The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa the most expensive on property
- Families coming to and from the theme park are as welcomed as those dressed to the nines, which you will see, especially in the evenings
- On-site convention center brings in some business travelers to main hotel lobby and restaurants
Notable Facts
- The Villas officially opened Oct. 23, 2013, as the 12th Disney Vacation Club property
- The 3-bedroom grand villas sleep up to 12 and have 4 bathrooms
- The Villas are closest to Disney's Wedding Pavillion overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon
- The studios at the Villas were the first on property to sleep 5
Frog Family Tips
- Watch the fireworks from Magic Kingdom® Park
- Book reservations for Victoria & Albert's a full 180 days in advance of check in for the best chance at getting a table, especially if you want a seat at the coveted Chef's Table, which offers only one seating for 10 each evening
- Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is just a hop, skip and jump away! Head over for more dining options, including Kona Cafe for breakfast and the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
Best For
- Families, especially larger families planning longer stays, looking for an elegant but still kid-friendly Disney experience, with an abundance of amenities, upscale and casual dining, and direct monorail access to Magic Kingdom® Park
