After all, the Anaheim Ducks started out as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim when they landed on the "Arrowhead Pond" (now the Honda Center ice rink) in 1993. They were originally owned by The Walt Disney Company and got their name from the 1992 movie, "The Mighty Ducks." Anaheim Ducks Day at Disney California Adventure takes place Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026. In the past, this day has fallen during the week, so it's nice to see it offered on a weekend for people who have school and work during the week. This event is such a fun day to visit for everyone, but especially Ducks fans. But you'll want to book early each year, especially if you have a Magic Key, because park reservations are tough to get.
The day has special decor, games, food and entertainment to celebrate the Anaheim Ducks, the NHL team that plays just down the street in Anaheim. However, if you are a park guest who just hoppens to be visiting on this day, all the normal rides, attractions and entertainment take place as well. The biggest difference is that a lot of the park guests will be dressed in their Ducks gear. And there's some bonus fun hoppening that day.
We visited during the past few years, and we always had a blast. In 2026, there's a new Flight Fan Rally in the World of Color viewing area in the afternoon.

Anaheim Ducks Day takes place during regular park hours and is included in your Disneyland park ticket. Food and merchandise cost extra.
You can save money on your Disneyland tickets when you purchase through Undercover Tourist. If you live in California, the California Resident ticket is definitely the way to go. You can save hundreds of dollars and get to visit three separate days. A 1-Day Park Hopper ticket through Disneyland costs $249 on Feb. 22, 2026. A 3-Day Park Hopper California Resident ticket through Undercover Tourist costs $241.50, and you can visit two more times through May 21!
Use your extra days to come back for Food and Wine Festival (March 6 through April 27) and to see the Savannah Bananas in both parks on March 26. If you are a "Star Wars" fan, come during late April and May to blast off on Hyperspace Mountain and meet characters such as Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Or, if you have small children, hop by Disneyland March 22 (or later) to meet Bluey and Bingo. And of course, the Disneyland 70th is still going on, so be sure to catch all the fun and entertainment for that while you are in the park.
Anaheim Ducks Day is one of those days when you want to make your park reservation early. Magic Key holders need to book Anaheim Ducks Day especially early.
Arrival for Anaheim Ducks Day
Before we go into when to arrive, we have one question for you: Do you want to meet hockey players? If so, get to Disneyland parking at 7 a.m. or maybe even park off-site and walk through Harbor security. You want to get into the park as soon as they open the gates to collect a wristband to meet them later.
If meeting the players isn't a priority and you're just there for the good vibes, we still recommend arriving in the morning, but you do not have to be the first ones there. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you could even start at Disneyland and hop over to DCA after 11 a.m. The main rally takes place in the afternoon.
Meeting Players at Ducks Day
You can pick up your Ducks Day fan photo wristband at park opening in the Hollywood Backlot area. You'll enter the wristband distribution queue as you enter Hollywood Land. These get distributed quickly. You'll use the wristband during the Take Flight Fan Rally to exchange high-fives and snap pics with select players. No autographs will be given.

This is the fun part of Ducks Day. The Ducks bring their fun energy to Disney California Adventure. Here's what to expect.
(New!) Take Flight Fan Rally at World of Color Viewing Area
Celebrate your favorite hockey team with DJ Jojo, the Power Players and some of the Anaheim Ducks team at the day's main event! It takes place in the afternoon.
You can expect high-energy cheers. Get swept up in the electrifying roar of the crowd with fresh, spirited chants. Watch a player face-off. Cheer on players as they take the stage in a friendly competition for the coveted Ducks Day Champion title.
Before and after the rally, the decorated area will be buzzing with music, games and visits from Disney characters.
Fan Zone in Hollywood Land
Enjoy music, games and fun in this dedicated space to all things Anaheim Ducks in the Fan Headquarters near The Hyperion. Test your hockey skills, take photos in front of Duck-inspired photo backdrops, party with the Anaheim Ducks' DJ, admire Ducks jerseys and more.
Announcements
The announcer takes over the park PA system for the day, so expect to hear special announcements and hockey talk throughout the day.
Cavalcade (not confirmed for 2026)
In the past, there was a cavalcade on the parade route with hockey players, Power Players (the Ducks' Cheer Squad) on roller blades and several Disney ducks. We do not have confirmation of this for 2026. The rally could be replacing this. There is, however, Mulan's Lunar New Year procession hoppening throughout the afternoon.
Meet Wild Wing
Wild Wing is toadally fun. He usually comes out mid-morning. You can line up to meet him. He's definitely worth the wait!
Draw Ducks at Animation Academy
Draw your favorite Disney Ducks. In 2025, we laughed to see Perry the Platypus as the last duck-billed character of the day.
Attire for Ducks Day
If you have a Ducks jersey, this is the day to wear it. Whether you go with the current orange and black or retro teal and plum, all fan gear is welcome. You'll see so many fans in Ducks jerseys in the park on Ducks Day. After all, the Anaheim Ducks play just 4 miles away from the parks. If you don't have any gear, you can buy some in the "Locker Room." It's usually near the Fan Zone.
Themed Food and Snacks
On that day only, you can purchase special themed Power Play food and drink items.

Merchandise
You can sometimes join a virtual queue to get in line to purchase Ducks Disney gear in the Locker Room. But other times you can just walk right up. These items are limited-edition collabs between the Ducks and Disneyland!
