Atlanta Braves Team Overview
While the Braves moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the 1960s, the team currently plays home games at the modern Truist Park, which opened in 2017. The Braves compete in the National League (NL) East division against the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins.
Over the course of the team’s lengthy history, the Atlanta Braves have won an MLB-record 22 division titles, 18 NL pennants and four World Series championships. In fact, the Braves are the only MLB franchise to have won the World Series in three different cities. Many legendary names in baseball have played for the Atlanta Braves, including Hank Aaron, Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews and Chipper Jones. And the team continues dominating its division to this day. The 2023 team has one of the hottest lineups in its history, featuring a franchise record of eight All-Stars — Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, Austin Riley, Orlando Arcia, Ozzie Albies, Spencer Strider and Bryce Elder.
