Are you looking for the best concert venues in the U.S. to check out your favorite performers? Look no further! We've rounded up the top 11 concert venues that will have you rocking out in style. Whether it's an intimate theater or a large outdoor arena, these 11 spots are sure to provide memorable musical experiences.

Best Concert Venues - Red Rocks Amphitheater "Red Rock Ampitheater walls" by willow8704 is licensed under CC BY 2.0. To view a copy of this license, visit https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/?ref=openverse.

Red Rocks Amphitheater

Topping off the list is Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. This outdoor venue boasts stunning views, legendary sound and some of the best acoustics around. It's a favorite for both performers and fans alike.

Madison Square Garden

Next up is Madison Square Garden in New York City. Often referred to as "The World's Most Famous Arena," this arena has seen performances from some of the greatest musicians of all time. From Elvis to the Rolling Stones, there's no shortage of star power here.

Ryman Auditorium

No list of the best concert venues in the U.S. would be complete without Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Considered the Mother Church of Country Music, the Ryman is the former home of the Grand Ole Opry and, yes, a former place of worship. This historic venue has seen performances from Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and many more of music's greatest stars.

The Greek Theatre

The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles is an iconic outdoor venue that has hosted some of the biggest names in music since its opening in 1929. With its stunning outdoor setting — and the stage itself modeled after a Greek temple — the Greek Theatre offers a unique and memorable experience for concert-goers in the heart of Los Angeles.

The Fillmore Auditorium

Built in 1912, The Fillmore in San Francisco has a storied history. From a dancing academy, to a dance hall, to a rollerskating rink, the Fillmore Auditorium began booking bands in 1954. In the 60s, the Fillmore was the go-to spot to see psychedelic music and counterculture, including the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, the Steve Miller Band, the Doors, Kimi Hendrix and more. Hunter S. Thompson even references the Fillmore in his novel, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."

Best Concert Venues - Hollywood Bowl "Hollywood Bowl" by Keith Roper is licensed under CC BY 2.0. To view a copy of this license, visit https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/?ref=openverse.

The Hollywood Bowl

The list of top concert venues wouldn't be complete without the iconic Hollywood Bowl. This outdoor amphitheater has been an LA favorite since its opening in 1922 and offers great sound and beautiful views. From Judy Garland and Louis Armstrong to Elton John and Black Sabbath, the Hollywood Bowl has hosted its fair share of iconic artists. The Hollywood Bowl is also known for putting on musical tributes (such as Sondheim and Quincy Jones), concert and film overtures and experiences (such as "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Star Wars" and "Encanto").

First Avenue

Minneapolis' First Avenue & 7th St Entry fit right in with the other historic landmarks on this list. Originally constructed in 1937 as a Greyhound bus depot, it wasn't until 1970 that the building began operating as a nightclub. First Avenue was featured in Prince's 1984 film, "Purple Rain."

Radio City Music Hall

Radio City Music Hall — located within Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan — has played host to a variety of award shows, stage shows, movie premieres, special events and concerts since it opened in 1929. Of course, Radio City Music Hall is home to the Rockettes, but you may also catch artists such as Tyler Childers, Janelle Monae, Raphael Saadiq and more taking the stage.

The Gorge Amphitheatre

The Gorge in George (George, WA, that is) is an outdoor amphitheater that offers breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge. With a capacity of over 20,000 people, it's a perfect summer show venue.

Fenway Park

While Fenway is the oldest Major League Baseball stadium still in use today (after opening in 1912), it also makes for an incredible concert backdrop. It's hosted the likes of Bruce Springsteen, the Police, the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. And this year, you can look forward to performances from Pink, Fall Out Boy, Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band and more.

MSG Sphere at the Venetian Resort

As the newest venue on the list, MSG Sphere at the Venetian Resort opened in September 2023, offering an immersive video and audio experience with a high-resolution wraparound LED screen and 4D physical effects. With a 25-show residency, Irish band U2 claimed the honor of being the first performer in this futuristic venue.

No matter what kind of experience you're looking for, there's sure to be a concert venue on this list that fits the bill! Whether it's small and cozy or big and bold — make sure to check out one (or all!) of these 11 best concert venues in the U.S. for an unforgettable night.

You gotta catch a show at the new Moody Center in Austin. Not a bad seat in the house, acoustics are phenomenal!
