The Very Best Food at Disney Water Parks
1. Mini Donuts by Joffrey’s Coffee at Blizzard Beach
Let's start this list off with some strong coffee … er, I mean donuts. Sorry, we mentioned Joffrey’s and my mind just goes THERE (#iykyk). But in this list, we're talkin' all about the donuts — mini donuts, that is!
These "bite-sized" donuts are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without breaking the bank (or getting too stuffed!). Opt for the half dozen at $5.99 or the full dozen for a few bucks more at $10.99. You can also choose from multiple dipping sauces, too, including chocolate, white chocolate and raspberry for an additional $1.69.
We just love these because they can feed everyone in our party and are so affordable! Call it a win-win. Find the Joffrey's kiosk near Lottawatta Lodge.
2. Sand Pail Sundae from I.C. Expeditions at Blizzard Beach and Happy Landings at Typhoon Lagoon
Vanilla and chocolate soft-swirl ice cream. Vanilla cake and cookies and cream crumbles. Hot fudge. Caramel sauce. Whipped cream. M&M’s candies. AND A CHERRY? All this is layered into an adorable souvenir sand pail bucket for $18.29!
Like the iconic Kitchen Sink from Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort, the Sand Pail Sundae is a true frog favorite. We love the novelty of it, plus, it's big enough to share, which keeps us frogs very happy after hoppin' around the pool all day.
Find this iconic treat, along with other sweets (shoutout to the s'mores churro), at I.C. Expeditions near Avalunch at Blizzard Beach and at Happy Landings in Typhoon Lagoon. You won't miss I.C. Expeditions — the whole snack stand is shaped like a snowplow!
3. Pork Elote Nachos from Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon
Hoppin' over to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, you've gotta try the pork elote nachos from Leaning Palms! Not only does this restaurant have the coolest design (the whole thing's slanted!), but the pork elote nachos are really the standout dish on the menu.
Crunchy nacho chips are covered in elote cheese sauce, roasted pork, sour cream, roasted corn, guacamole, jalapeños and pico de gallo. Every bite is just bursting with flavor! If you haven't had elote cheese before, you're in for a treat. Think of it as a salty, crumbly cheese topping.
This, along with other items on the menu, costs $12.99. Leaning Palms is located near Happy Landings and the first aid center. Mobile ordering is also available for your convenience.
Froggy note: You can also get elote nachos with pork from the Warming Hut at Disney's Blizzard Beach. It's the same price and features the same ingredients. We just prefer Leaning Palms because it tends to be open later. As of publication, the Warming Hut closes at 4 p.m.
4. Flatbread Pizzas at Lottawatta Lodge at Blizzard Beach and Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon
Maybe you wanted something other than nachos while dining at Leaning Palms. If so, opt for the flatbread pizza! Several options are available to choose from, including a traditional cheese and pepperoni flatbread, as well as a barbecue chicken flatbread. This one is topped with pickled onions and pesto sauce — [Swedish] chef's kiss! These flatbreads will cost you between $11.29 and $13.29.
Over at Blizzard Beach, you'll find these flatbreads at Lottawatta Lodge — only instead of the barbecue chicken, there's the white cap flatbread. There's yum in every bite — chicken breast, bacon, white sauce, mozzarella, red onion and tomato. The flatbreads at Lottawatta Lodge are a bit cheaper, ranging between $11.29 and $12.49.
5. Rice Bowls at Lottawatta Lodge at Disney's Blizzard Beach
We just can't seem to leave Lottawatta Lodge, can we? (It's such a good quick-service restaurant!) But we can't end this list without at least talking about their rice bowls. Opt for either a shrimp or chicken base or enjoy the best of both worlds with the chicken and shrimp rice bowl — roasted chicken, marinated shrimp, white rice and stir-fried veggies.
These rice bowls — which cost $15.79 — aren't just tasty; they're really filling, too, which is perfect for an early dinner when the tadpoles are MORE than ready to go to bed.
6. Fried Fish Platter from Typhoon Tilly's at Typhoon Lagoon
For me, no day at a Disney water park is complete without some seafood — and Typhoon Tilly's has just what I'm craving. My go-to is the fried fish platter — hand-battered fish, clam strips, shrimp and hushpuppies with sweet chili sauce. It's served with fries and some cold coleslaw, too. Plus, it's easy to share for less than $15!
Honorable mention to the Land and Sea, which keeps the hand-battered fried fish but switches everything else out for some crispy chicken strips. Like visiting the Disney water parks or using a park hopper, it's the best of both worlds.
Well, there you have it: the best food at the Disney water parks! To be honest, you can't go wrong with anything at either water park. However, these are our froggy favorites.
Whether you're opting for some cold sandwiches, crunchy nachos or something to satisfy your sweet tooth, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have plenty of delicious (and very affordable) quick-service spots to choose from.
