Overview of Blue Man Group
Formed in 1987 by three close friends in Manhattan's Lower East Side, the Blue Man Group has visited 25 countries, played for 50 million people and is now portrayed by 70 different performers worldwide. Mute and painted blue from head to toe, the Blue Men always appear in groups of three. At every show, you'll experience their signature combination of music, comedy and color as they use original instruments, such as the Drum Phoenix, Smoke Drums and Drumbone, to tell fresh stories. Each performance is unique, so audiences will never experience the same show twice. We were lucky enough to see them during their residency at Universal Orlando Resort from 2007 to 2021 and were absolutely blown away!
The show runs approximately 90 to 105 minutes with no intermission and is recommended for children 3 and up. It also utilizes strobe lights, so if you're sensitive, be sure to alert the Theatre House Manager when you arrive. Upon request, a staff member will help you leave the theater before the strobe lights turn on.
If you've scored a seat in the first four rows, congratulations! You're in the "poncho section!" You won't get "wet," but you may be splashed from the stage with washable materials. Don't worry, though! The theater provides disposable plastic ponchos for audience members in those rows to wear if you prefer. Blue Man Group recommends wearing comfortable washable clothing that does not require dry cleaning.
Blue Man Group at Luxor Hotel & Casino
Specially designed to offer the intimacy of their Off-Broadway production but with all the spectacle you'd expect from a Las Vegas show, the Blue Man Group at the Luxor Hotel & Casino features exclusive performance content that can't be seen anywhere else. The stage is bigger, the lights are brighter and the music jams harder on the Las Vegas Strip.
The theater is located on the Atrium Level of the casino. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the lobby.
