Overview of the Dallas Stars
The Dallas Stars are an NHL team based in Dallas, TX. They play as part of the Central Division of the Western Conference. Founded in 1967, the team was originally known as the Minnesota North Stars before the franchise relocated to Dallas in 1993. The Dallas Stars' games are played at American Airlines Center, also home to the Dallas Mavericks (an NBA team). The team has achieved a lot in its history, including winning various division and conference championships and the Stanley Cup in 1999. The Stars had made five Stanley Cup final appearances, most recently in 2020. Famous players include all-time leading scorer Mike Modano, goaltender Ed Belfour and center Joe Nieuwendyk.
Last season, the Stars went 47-21-14 in the regular season, finishing second in the Central Division. They later lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals. This year, head coach Peter DeBoer looks toward players such as Jamie Benn, Wyatt Johnston and Ty Dellandrea to lead the team to victory.
