- If you want to catch some waves and ride waterslides at night, Disney H2O Glow After Hours is the event for you! This summer, the after-hours event takes place on 13 select nights from June 2 to Sept. 5, 2026, at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Ready with his pop star energy, Powerline Max will meet and greet guests throughout the night. Plus, Donald and Daisy will join the DJ Dance Party, along with special appearances by Chip 'n' Dale as Rescue Rangers, Scrooge McDuck and Launchpad McQuack. - May the Fourth is quickly approaching at lightspeed. Disney Eats dropped the Star Wars Day foodie guide so you can get a taste of all the galactic bites, beverages and novelty items you'll be able to find at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort! Some offerings are even available all month long at Disney's Hollywood Studios, so no need to stress if you're not there on May the Fourth. - Universal Fan Fest Nights has kicked off its second season at Universal Studios Hollywood! We frogs hopped to the opening night, so be sure to check out our main guide with the latest updates. You can expect brand-new experiences, such as the Scooby-Doo Meets The Universal Monsters Backlot walkthrough experience, a Sailor Moon short film, a Wizarding World walkthrough experience through the Forbidden Forest and so much more. - Disney Cruise Line and the Port of San Diego have extended their homeport partnership through at least 2031, doubling the number of Disney cruises out of San Diego each year. This agreement will allow more opportunities to sail to Catalina Island, Baja and the Mexican Riviera. For the 2026-2027 season, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder have scheduled itineraries out of San Diego, starting in October 2026.
- Have you noticed the construction along the Bay Lake shoreline next to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and wondered what's being built? Disney officially announced Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a new resort set to open in summer 2027. Inspired by Walt Disney's love for the great outdoors, Disney Lakeshore Lodge will celebrate the magic of nature through Disney stories such as "Bambi," "Pocahontas" and "Brother Bear." From studios to suites, many rooms will offer peaceful Bay Lake views, including Magic Kingdom fireworks at night. Stay tuned for more info!
- SeaWorld San Diego plans to reopen its Shark Encounter exhibit May 22, 2026. The reimagined experience will feature new visuals and multimedia as guests come face to fin with 11 different shark species, including sand tiger sharks, blacktip reef sharks and the endangered Australian leopard sharks.
