Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail Returns

by Mommy Frog on December 1, 2017

Hi there! Welcome to our weekly roundup of the most interesting theme park news around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and other theme parks.

Here are this week’s theme park highlights:

Disney Springs Christmas Trees

  • The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail is back and better than ever — this year with 25 amazingly Disney-inspired trees. Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Dumbo and more all have their own themed trees! Plus, there are extended hours during this very popular holiday season.
  • Starting Dec. 7 you can join a few of your favorite heroes for characters dining at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm and Rogue will be greeting guests and signing autographs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at Cafe 4 in Marvel Super Hero Island. Reservations are highly recommended for this dinner buffet.
  • A new margarita stand has opened in Epcot inside the Mexico pavilion. Choza de Margarita offers three signature margaritas on the rocks, four frozen options, beers and a nonalcoholic "conga" — Mexican fruit punch made of orange, pineapple and lemon juice. There are also a handful of side eats.
  • While the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is just getting started, the Epcot International Festival of the Arts  is right around the corner, Jan. 12 through Feb. 19, 2017. For the creative types, this is your event. The Disney Photo Imaging team will be giving out tips, you can create a flip book and learn about floral design!
  • The Tokyo Disneyland Resort will undergo a massive $2.7 billion expansion, expected to help with overcrowding and bring in more foreign visitors.

Eve at Universal Studios Hollywood

That’s it for the theme park news this week! Have a great weekend.

Keep hopping, Mommy Frog!
