FROG FAMILY REVIEW
Disney's Beach Club Resort*
What we love
- Laid-back, early 20th-century New England beach theme is a favorite among families
- Stormalong Bay is our favorite pool on property — more like a water park!
- Terrific location; just a few minutes' walk to Epcot® and centrally located to the rest of the parks
- Minutes' walk from terrific restaurants in Disney's Boardwalk Entertainment District
- Many standard rooms can sleep up to five
- Free parking!
- Character breakfast with beach Goofy and friends at Cape May Cafe
- One of the all-round best resort hotels for kids
Keep in Mind
- Hotel charges $33 per night (sales tax included) for valet parking
- Only registered guests are allowed to use Stormalong Bay
- Resort shares amenities with Disney's Yacht Club Resort
- Shares bus service to Magic Kingdom® Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
- Shares convention space with Disney's Beach Club Resort
- Maze-like corridors leading to rooms can be confusing, and the walk can be quite far
- Water-view rooms can be either of Crescent Bay Lake or the Stormalong Bay pool area
Notable Facts
- There are several sections to the three-acre Stormalong Bay, including a lazy river, waterslide, hot tubs and sandy-bottomed pool
- Disney's Beach Club Resort is one of the only resorts to offer tennis courts
- The lobby is spectacular at Christmastime, with trees decorated in fish and other nautical baubles
Frog Family Tips
- Try to get a reservation for Beaches & Cream Soda Shop or plan for a long wait during busy times
- Order the Kitchen Sink at the '50s-style soda fountain Beaches & Cream — that's eight scoops of vanilla, chocolate, stawberry and mint chocolate chip smothered in every topping — perfect for sharing
- Unless having a water view of any kind is a priority, we don't recommend booking it
- Request a room near the lobby if you don't want to do a lot of walking (requests are not guaranteed)
- Some rooms have full balconies and juliet balconies; request a full balcony if it's a priority (requests are not guaranteed)
- Hop over to the International Gateway at EPCOT, just a short stroll away, to ride the Disney Skyliner and get a bird's-eye view of the park
Best For
- Families with children of all ages but especially younger children who will absolutely love Stormalong Bay; families who want to be closer to Epcot® and Disney's BoardWalk Entertainment District
