A new themed land inspired by DreamWorks Animation has officially taken over the former Woody Woodpecker's KidZone children's area at Universal Studios Florida. Open as of June 14, 2024, the all-new DreamWorks Land has interactive and immersive experiences for the whole family. Catch beloved characters from a variety of films and TV shows, including "Shrek," "Trolls," "Kung Fu Panda" and "Gabby's Dollhouse." We frogs are so frogcited to share all the must-know info with you!
Universal Orlando Resort first announced DreamWorks Land last summer! This land is located next to E.T. Adventure, Animal Actors on Location! and the gift shop, SpongeBob StorePants. Here's everything you can expect to see, experience and taste in this fun-filled addition to Universal Studios Florida.
Shrek in DreamWorks Land
There are many layers to peel back in the Shrek section of DreamWorks Land.
Shrek's Swamp Meet
Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey welcome you to Shrek's moss-covered swampy cottage home. The Prince and Princess of Far Far Away and their noble steed appear every 30 minutes with their final appearance at 3:45 p.m. Meet times are posted on the Universal Orlando app and the next meet time is posted at the entrance of the swamp!
Shrek's Swamp for Little Ogres
This play area features four slides (including one down the pipes of Shrek's famous outhouse that makes quite the surprising sound as you're sliding down), bouncy rope net bridges, water canons and a playground where little ogres can splash around. (Don't worry, Mom and Dad! There's an ogre dry nearby to huff, puff and blow your little ones' clothes dry!) Be sure to stop by Pinocchio's Fact Shack and test the famed puppet's poker face as he shares some fanciful fabricated facts with you. And don't froget to look down and around for ogre (and Donkey)-sized footprints and chalk art by Shrek and Fiona's little monsters, Fergus, Farkle and Felicia.
Mama Luna Feline Fiesta
Straight from "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish," step inside Mama Luna's retirement home for cats. You can play with Mama Luna's many cats on interactive screens activated by bells, buttons, maracas and levers — and you just might spot Puss in Boots himself! Filled with tons of Easter eggs from the film, this area is the purr-fect place to retreat to when you're looking for some shade.
King Harold's Swamp Symphony
OK, OK ... this just might be our favorite spot! Create your own melody with a choir of frog ribbits by stepping on lily pads.
Swamp Snacks
Feast like an ogre at Swamp Snacks! Fresh from Fiona's kitchen, here's what's on the menu:
- Shrekzel
- Far Far A Waffle
- Pepperoni
- Ham & Cheese
- Swamp Dog: oozing green cheese hot dog wrapped in pizza tree bark
- Mud Puddle Pudding: chocolate pudding, cookie crumbs, cookie cake and gummy bugs
- Frozen Ogre Sour Apple - Ice Pop
- Chonkey Donkey Chocolate - Ice Pop (pictured above)
- Bottled Water
- Powerade
- Monster Energy
- Warsteiner Pilsener
- Miller Lite
- Angry Orchard Cider
- Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing
- NÜTRL
- High Noon
- Coca-Cola Freestyle Souvenir Cup
We can't recommend the Swamp Dog enough if you're looking for something savory to silence a growling stomach. The Mud Puddle Pudding was also a delicious sweet treat but if you're grabbing dessert here, go for the Ice Pops (and eat them quickly because they melt fast in the Florida heat)!
Trolls in DreamWorks Land
Find your hoppy place in Trolls Village, which features a flowing "fantastamazing" fountain right at the center. You might even spot Poppy, Branch or the glitterific Guy Diamond hanging around!
Trolls Trollercoaster
Join Poppy, Viva, Tiny and the twins, Satin and Chenille, and hop aboard the Caterbus! Escape spooky spiders on this family-friendly roller coaster. The height requirement for this family-friendly coaster is 36 inches, and it's offered on the Universal Express Pass.
Poppy's Playground
Covered by a 20-foot mushroom, this shaded play area features colorful flowers and bugs with plenty of bouncing and climbing structures for little ones.
Trolls Treats
Poppy's boombox from "Trolls Band Together" serves up Trolls ice cream treats: the pink lemonade-flavored Poppy-licious Pink (with edible glitter!) and the huckleberry-flavored BroZone Berry. Both are equally delicious but also melt very quickly when exposed to the sun. We'll definitely be coming back to get these tasty treats again and again! (Be prepared for temporary blue mouth if you opt for the BroZone Berry!)
High Five Hideaway
Stock up on Po plushies, Shrek shirts and more rad merch at Cloud Guy's very own store.
Kung Fu Panda in DreamWorks Land
Learn the ways of the Dragon Warrior in this fun-filled play area inspired by the idyllic Panda Village from "Kung Fu Panda 3"!
Po Live!
Meet and talk with a digital Po, who trains you in the art of kung fu fighting — all while babysitting his baby cousin, Ling Ling. We were lucky enough to get a one-on-one training session with Po during his last lesson of the day and it was definitely an experience we'll remember forever. He shared with us his favorite stretches, kung fu moves and the best way to make a rockin' stir fry. Po's training sessions are about 10 minutes long and hoppen every 30 minutes with this final show at 6:30 p.m. Showtimes are posted on the Universal Orlando app.
Po's Kung Fu Training Camp
Inspired by the "Kung Fu Panda" films, Po's ancestral home, Panda Village, comes to life! With both dry and wet play areas, kung fu masters in training can help the pandas wash and dry their laundry with water cannons, dump buckets, giant fans and more. You can also interact with a giant gong, baby pandas and merry-go-round noodle bowls from Mr. Ping's Noodle Shop.
Additional Experiences in DreamWorks Land
Don't skip out on these other amazing offerings!
DreamWorks Imagination Celebration
Join Shrek, Donkey, Dragon, Po, Branch, Poppy, King Julien and some new friends as they discover the power of imagination! This high-energy show combines hit songs from your favorite DreamWorks films, dancing, puppetry (!) and technology to create a fun party atmosphere at the DreamWorks Theater. We absolutely loved this inspiring new entertainment offering! A frogtastic way to beat the heat and an all-around good time, this show is truly not to be missed! Shows are 20 minutes long and hoppen about once every hour with the final show of the day at 7 p.m. Showtimes are posted on the Universal Orlando app and the next show time is posted at the entrance to the theater. This show is also offered on Universal Express.
DreamWorks Character Zone
Guests can meet their favorite DreamWorks characters, including Gabby from "Gabby's Dollhouse," Puss in Boots, King Julien and more.
