Ghoul news, foolish mortals! The legendary Hatbox Ghost has materialized and joined the happy haunts in the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park. He now appears in the Endless Hallway scene, greeting guests as his head jumps into his hatbox before their Doom Buggies whisk them away deeper into the mansion. According to Haunted Mansion history, he first appeared as an original character in the Disneyland ride in 1969 but disappeared shortly after. He eventually returned to Disneyland in 2015, and can now be seen on both coasts in the Haunted Mansion.
Disney announced plans for his addition last year at the D23 Expo event and revealed concept art and a debut timeline of late November 2023 at the Destination D23 event this past September.
