Overview of Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field, named after Curly Lambeau, one of the founders of the Green Bay Packers, has been a staple in the NFL since its opening in 1957. With a seating capacity of over 81,000, the venue stands as one of the oldest continually operating NFL stadiums to date. The stadium has undergone significant renovations in recent years to enhance the fan experience while preserving its historic charm.

Lambeau Field's year-round appeal extends to the expansive 376,000-square-foot Lambeau Field Atrium, rising over five stories high on the east side. Packed with dining, entertainment and multiple retail options, it's a go-to for Packers fans. Here you can enjoy free Wi-Fi and explore the Packers Pro Shop, Packers Hall of Fame and the iconic Lambeau Field Stadium Tour. For a yummy bite, check out 1919 Kitchen & Tap which serves up fresh and seasonal favorites, complemented by a bar with 40 beers on tap.

While the venue (and its parking lot) is mainly used by the NFL, other special events have taken place at this large stadium — including a festival of lights during the holidays, a Halloween spooktacular, and headlining concerts by major artists such as Paul McCartney and Billy Joel.

Location of Lambeau Field

Situated at 1265 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, WI, Lambeau Field is strategically located in the heart of the city. The stadium's prime location makes it easily accessible for both local fans and visitors. Green Bay, often referred to as "Titletown, USA," takes immense pride in its football legacy, and Lambeau Field is at the epicenter of this passionate community.

To avoid traffic, visitors should drop off passengers at the corner of Shadow Lane and Frank Steet. A sidewalk is available, and police assistance is provided to cross into Lambeau Field parking. It's important to follow posted time limits and adhere to officer instructions. After the game, individuals should avoid picking up in this area and instead make arrangements to meet passengers elsewhere to steer clear of congestion.

For an easy ride to and from the game, the Green Bay Metro or the free gameday bus routes provided by the Green Bay Packers are two options. Starting five hours before kickoff and running for about three hours after the game, these buses leave Lambeau Field every 30 minutes.

if you'll be using a rideshare service, we suggest exiting from one of the main gates on the east or south side of the stadium and having your driver meet you at the corner of Mike McCarthy Way and Holmgren Way.

Parking at Lambeau Field

There are several options when it comes to parking at Lambeau Field. While exclusive parking privileges are reserved for season ticket holders, the Titletown parking lot offers ample paid parking options starting four hours before kickoff. Additionally, Lots 10 and 14 off Ridge Road and Lot 15 off Ridge Road and Lombardi Avenue provide accessible parking choices for around $40. You can find slightly cheaper parking options, typically around $20-$30 in Lot 17 off Argonne Street.

Lambeau Field provides handicapped parking in two accessible areas, available on a first-come, first-served basis for fans with a valid state-issued disabled parking permit, placard, or license plate. Just like other official lots, these accessible lots open four hours before kickoff, accessible from Lombardi Avenue (Lot 3) and Valley View Road (Lot 7). The cost for one vehicle in these handicapped parking lots is $40.

Seating at Lambeau Field

Choosing the "best" seats at Lambeau Field often depends on individual preferences, priorities and all-in budget. Particularly for sporting events, seats in the lower bowl near the midfield, provide an excellent view of the entire field. You'll be close to the action and have a clear view of both ends of the field. Lambeau Field also offers club seating options that provide an elevated experience. These seats often come with added amenities which include climate-controlled lounges, upscale food and beverage options and comfortable seating.

The south end zone is where the famous Lambeau Leap takes place. If you want to witness this Packers tradition up close, this is where you'll want to be! However, keep in mind that your view of the north end of the field might be slightly limited. Some fans prefer the first few rows in the upper deck because they provide an elevated view without being too far from the field.

If you're a dedicated Packers fan, sitting on the home team's sideline is like a dream come true. You'll be close to the team's bench and have a great view of the Packers' sideline activities. If possible, securing seats near the 50-yard line provides a balanced view of the entire field. This central location ensures you won't miss any critical moments and the game unfolds symmetrically in front of you.
