New Orleans Saints Team Overview
The New Orleans Saints play in the NFC South division of the NFL. Founded in 1966, they play their home games at Caesars Superdome (formally named Mercedes-Benz Superdome) in New Orleans, LA. The team had less success in earlier years but has improved over time under the guidance of Drew Brees, who is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in history. In 2009, he helped lead the Saints to their only Super Bowl appearance, upsetting the Indianapolis Colts and winning Super Bowl XLIV. Brees had his last season with the Saints in 2020 before retiring.
Last year, the Saints went 9-8, making them second in the NFC South. They did not qualify for the playoffs. Leading into the 2024 season, the team hopes to improve upon last year's record and see if they can be playoff-bound. Head coach Dennis Allen returns in his third year as head coach and tenth overall season with the Saints. He looks to leading players such as quarterback Derek Carr, cornerback Marshon Lattimore and linebacker Demario Davis to lead the team to victory.
