Seahawks Team Overview
The Seattle Seahawks are an NFL team currently playing in the National Football Conference West division. Throughout their 47 seasons, they have made various championship and playoff appearances. Due to a conference change in 2002, they are the only team to have played in both the AFC and NFC championship games. They have made three Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013.
Based in Seattle, Washington, they are the only NFL team in the Pacific Northwest, therefore bringing in fans from a large range of states. The passionate fans are known as the "12th Man" or "12th Fan" and have twice set the world record for the loudest crowd roar at a sports stadium!
In the 2022-23, the team went 9-8, finishing second in the NFC West and also making a playoff appearance. Coming into fall 2023, head coach Peter Carroll returns in his 14th season leading the Seahawks. He looks toward players such as wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, cornerback Tariq Woolen and quarterback Geno Smith.
