Franklin Park Zoo
Frog Family Rating:
Boston’s historic Franklin Park has 72 acres dedicated to Franklin Park Zoo, a conservation-centered zoo with more than 50 species of animals. Tadpoles will be thrilled to hop into Nature’s Neighborhoods, the award-winning Children’s Zoo near the entrance, to climb to the bird’s eye view at Eagle’s nest and pop up with the prairie dogs. The giant 350-pound gorillas are sure to leave an impression, the tiger will be camouflaged among the trees and Masai giraffes tower over all that stop by as they snack. There are also red pandas, lemurs, pygmy hippopotamuses, reptiles, sloths and so many more animals to see.
If visiting during the summer, don’t froget to check out Boston Lights: A Lantern Experience, a magical large-scale lantern adventure with hundreds of lights throughout the zoo.
